I like my Instant Pot, but there's nothing "Instant" about it when cooking brown rice. 45 mins. on stove; With instant pot, 10 mins to build up pressure, 22 mins. cooking under pressure, 10 mins. natural release, 1 min. manual release = 43 minutes. I save 2 minutes with instant pot.
    Nice videos by the way.

MY RICE WAS PERFECT!! I do recommend to use 2 cups of water if you are rinsing the rice. The first time I made it I was a bit skeptical and added a bit more water even though I rinsed the rice and some parts are more mushy. Should have just taken the advice and not doubt it. THANKS!!!

10 minutes to build pressure. 22 minutes run time. 10 minutes more then release pressure gives a total of 44-45 minutes. i can cook rice on the stove top in that time but i am trying this method to see if it comes out better. will post results a bit later.

💕 Hi, I enjoyed this recipe ! Thank you !
Can you tell me if you let the sealing stay on without releasing it yourself, will it finally release all the way ? I sat here 30 minutes and the valve in back hadn't gone down yet. And are we supposed to push cancel after the countdown ?
Thanks for the answers ahead of time ! 👋🏼

This recipe makes the best tasting brown rice I've ever had. Love that it's fuss-free and comes out perfect every time. Thank you for sharing it! I wanted to ask – I have an Instant pot mini (three quart size), and just one cup of brown rice in my pantry at the moment. Can I make one cup of rice using the same ratio and cooking time? Thank you again! 🙏

Got this going now. I have had no luck with rice in my IP. But everything I have tried of yours has had me shook. So I figured I’d try this too! 😊
***as a follow up…. it was freaking prefect!!!! Omg!!!

I had high hopes. I love my IP but the brown rice came out terrible when I did it – no reflection on you – just being honest. It was wet and not at all how I like it, dry and fluffy and nutty. Not worth experimenting as mine simmers unattended for 45 min and is perfect.
I'll continue to make that on the stove top.

You have explained why my brown rice comes out like mush. I didn't know that if you pre-wash you use less water. WOW…I'm going to make it both ways. I searched "how to cook brown rice in Insta pot" and your video was first.😄 thanks.

It turns out the recipe wasn’t “super simple” for more than 71000 people and counting!!! (Including myself 😂😂😂)
Good job for “super simple recipe “..

Humans have lost their ability to learn things their own, nothing is “super simple” on youtube – there is video for everything, literally!
