Hey what about the slow release? Mine seems to take up to an hour to release?? Which do we do?
Mz. Mary, I sent you a question however, I took it upon myself to do an experiment with the chicken bones in which I made brith. I took the bone and put them in my vita mix and Processed Them down to a very thick substance and poured it into a soup cup. I used a spoon and consume the experiment. It was a some what smooth texture tasted wonderful!!! Would love to hear your take on my concoction and if I don’t reply, you will know that my invention killed me. Love your vids. Sincerely…
Mz. Mary, I learned so much from your vid and will always use your method. That said, I want to pass this by you for your opinion. I have a vita mix and was wondering , while i know larger beef bone is too large, how do you feel about Cartledge bone and chicken bone being grounded /puréed in my device? Keep in mind that these bones shall be soft to the touch. Would love to hear your take on my question as you are my Bone Marrow hero. Thank you for your teachings, sincerely…
I enjoyed your informative video. Thank you.
Hard to have left over or any bones to make a broth when one has dogs who prefer they got the bones.
Amazing video! I've been on keto and recently started making my bone broth. The 1st batch was very watery (possible too much water) but tasted great. The 2nd batch I added chicken feet and the flavor was BLEH but was very gelatinous. The next one I'm gonna lessen the amount of chicken feet and see how that goes.
Wanting to make some beef bone broth with our mueller 10 in 1 pro series cooker but it didn't work the same as insta pot 🙁 To get 2 hours on it, the only option is to use it as a slow cooker. To have it using a menu button for canning it'll cook for up to 99 minutes. I think I can switch it to a low pressure setting from a high pressure setting, though. What do you advise? The customer service wasn't really able to answer my question as to if there was a way to get it for 2 hours at a low pressure other than to use it as a slow cooker, using the glass lid instead of the pressure lid. Thank you!
This is a fantastic and informative video. I live how well you explain everything. Question? Would it be OK to just use the slow-cooker feature of the Instant Pot on less? Thank you.
can you just use the slow cooker on the instapot and set time for 6 or 12 hrs, venting
Hmm… yummy! ❤
What is fortified wine?
where you find these types of bones i have seen oxtail and pig feet
Do you press "Pressure Cook" button too? Or just "Soup/Broth" button? Thank you
Mary, you are a godsend! I am 53 yrs young and never knew how to do this! I have cooked for my family for 30 some years. You explained this so well. I enjoyed the entire video! I just subscribed tonight so I can watch all your bone broth videos! You are an excellent teacher! Thank you so much and God bless you and yours!❤😊
Learning so much . blessings
I always do the low 2 hour pressure, and then leave it on the slow cooker setting for 4+ hours. It works quite well.
Tq you it very helpful .❤️
There's no bell
Best video I’ve seen on making bone broth. Well done 👍
Mary you have been getting away from Traditional with these new devices. I can't go out and buy every device they come up with. I guess you have to try to please all your audience, but when I see all these recipes with all these new Modern high tech devices, I don't even click on them.
Thank you for posting this but you lost me at higher heat doesn't get the collagen out?? If 180 melts it, wouldn't 200+ melt it just as well??? Why would it need to stay gelatinous to be healthy??
Is the ‘non’ gelatinous bone broth still effective for health benefits?
I always use wine. Never ACV. Taste is also important and wine does the job just as well as ACV.
I’m confused about bone broth. Can I use the bones from food I have cooked ? Like I grilled some chicken thighs can I use those bones ?
