We sure have come a long way from Momma's old pressure cooker. I always was afraid of going into the kitchen when she had that thing going. Now, ever since I got an instant pot I don't cook ribs any other way. Love your videos!

Recipe sounds good. I love my instant pot! I have cooked meatloaf, split pea soup, vegetable soup, new York cheesecake, corned beef and cabbage, ham potatoes and vegetables, corn on the cob, broccoli, Brown rice, chicken breasts, pork loin, and all of these more than once and they have turned out every time. I am going to do meatballs and spaghetti next. Saves so much time and you do not have to baby sit it. Oh, and I did do a pot of steel cut oats with raisins which was very good.

Lori u should pull the membrane off the back side of the ribs, that way the rub gets into the meat. I only cook my ribs in my instant pot! I use both apple juice and apple cider vinegar too!

Oh my goodness! That meat looks so darn good….I’m in love haha! My brother smokes the best ribs I’ve ever had in my life. He makes a good 24 hour process of preparing and cooking them. I’ve never been good at ribs. I now have faith that I can make good ribs after seeing yours. I don’t have an instant pot….think I need one. Is it the same as a pressure cooker like days of old? That side dish looks amazing too! I’m so hungry now lol.

And, wait until you do potatoes for potato salad. So quick! and just put the eggs right in on top of the potatoes… 8 mins and both are cooked perfectly. And the eggs are easily peeled almost every single time. I love this pot so much.

I was so happy to see you have instant pot recipes here! I have a mini 3 qt. size i-pot (as I call it) and I love that thing to pieces! I made a beef stew last night and it was so easy. I had thawed out 2 steaks (I don't cook steaks very well) and they were still kinda frozen… so I cut them up into bite size chunks, peeled and cut up 2 russet potatoes, cut up one onion and peel and cut up 4 carrots, and put everything in along with some beef stew mix that I'd gotten online (can't remember the but it said "beef stew with vegetables" on the label) and that was it. I put enough water in it to come up to just cover everything and cooked it for 59 minute. It was perfection – just the way we like it, very soft and easy eating for us geezers in our mid-70s.

These look so yummy! I will definitely be trying this recipe. I've been trying to learn new ideas for meals in my instant pot so that I don't have to turn on my oven. It's been so hot here in Texas. Whew, I sweat just talking about it. Haha Thanks for sharing and I hope you are having a nice summer.

I ❤️❤️❤️ ribs in the instant pot!! So delicious. I'm an old fashion cook to but if it will make my life easier I'm all for it. Don't cook as much as I used to since my husband passed away but I still cook for my little daddy on occasion and he really likes it. Thanks for sharing your experience.

We cook our ribs and pork roast in the Instant Pot and use a cup of apple juice instead of water. OMG! they are so good and tender. We don't use a rub though. Hard boiled eggs are easy and a favorite in the IP, too.

So much of a time saver!! I have had my Instant Pot for well over 3 years now. Actually I have a 6 qt and 3 qt. I am a single working person. I don't have time to be watching over food. (I wished I did!!) I have done 2 full slabs of ribs standing up in my IP with apple juice for 35 minutes. They came out awesome. I don't like them falling off the bone. I like a bit of chew on them. Then like you…sauced and under the broiler for about 5 minutes. I brought them to a party and they were ravaged in a few minutes. I do my dry beans in the pot as well. No more soaking! The Instant Pot or any electric pressurized cooker isn't for all foods but I like cooking my bone and veggie broths in them. Also long braised recipes work really well. I don't have many gadgets at home. I have the Instant Pots (any electric pressure cooker would be a great substitute), an Excalibur dehydrator, and a Vitamix blender. The best kitchen tools I have are my knives and my hands :D. I do have a Cuisinart food processor somebody gave me about 10 years ago. It is still in the box in my loft!
