Yes. I blend them too as I don't like them as full oats and kinda still hard. But blending gives the perfect consistency. I'm with you.

I'm actually blending it with almonds and walnuts ,flax seed and banana ,but im using only 1/4 cups of oats or sometimes 1 spoon. .

It looks like Scottish oats – a smaller cut than old fashion. More creamy.
Baby food oats work too no cooking.
