A steak of that calibre should be cooked medium rare IMHO.
I think yours did look medium as ordered and well rested.
A well cooked medium steak.
Next time try medium rare mate. It’s not bleeding, just a little more pink and twice as juicy.
I know some chefs refuse to cook such quality steak medium.

My local, takes 2 mins to walk there. I've eaten in the restaurant and from the bar and it has never disappointed over the last 12 years. Suggestion try the Pig N Whistle at Riverside Eagle Street Pier. Another suggestion is Navala Churrascaria at the pier. Something different but well worth it in my opinion. Make sure to try the chicken hearts.
Not sure about Grain Fed as it does make the steak more tender but no taste. Grass Grain Fed is the way to go for a great tasting Steak
That Steak looked Medium to me so do not know what you are on about Do not know what you mean by seasoning? Fresh salad should be served without any dressing where you are offered a choice of dressing if you wish. I do not like any dressing at all my
This practice of placing the main meal on top of chips is terrible and is now quite often done and must be taught at Chefs School or something. I hate this presentation.

Nothing annoys me more than your steak put over the chips ( Ok who likes soggy chips????) I always ask for the chips in a bowl and sometimes this is just too much to comprehend in the kitchen.

$39 is a bit steep onnit GregO…? I’d be on that $12 menu but yes, the Piney is an institution around here and solid grub offerings but there are much better fir steaks, a la the Norman & Story Bridge down the road… Morrison is also good. Looked like a cracking arvo at the boozer… cheers Gibbo
