Hi Rose!! Have you heard of the Daily Dozen challenge? I’d love for you to try it and I think you’d find it fun!
I am one of those people that cilantro taste likes soap for… 🤣🤣🤣
Some people get a soapy taste from eating cilantro, that could be a possible reason for them not liking it. :/
Elotes are my fave!
Hi Rose, reaching out from Xen Media. If you could please check your email inbox that would be great! I have resent our email in case it got lost! Thank you so much!
Did this off the cob. It was great!!
These look incredible!! 🤩
Soy De México y nunca e visto q le pongan Cilantro .
parmesan has a "stank" but cilantro doesn't taste like "soap"?
I heard that some people say that cilantro tastes like soap, I don't taste the soap, so I'm okay with cilantro! LOL
Thank you for the fabulous vegan parmesan recipe.
I live in California and I have had the real Elote (streetcorn) in a prior non-vegan life in the Central Valley. The only thing missing is Valentina Salsa Picante drizzled over the top. Adding cilantro to the "mayo" is a boss move! I am not sure why I have never thought of this as I absolutely love Cilantro. Also for me a true Elote is done with steamed corn as you want it to be nice and juicy… maximum juiciness…. aka schmoist. However I am sure the BBQ adds a nice smokiness to the corn. Also after seeing you make Elote I am now officially ready to propose to you! Let me know where and when 🙂
I'm wondering if I could get away with using just nutritional yeast for the cheese? Yep, I'm that lazy. 😁
I love your southern accent!
Im Mexican, I’ve never seen cilantro on elotes 😳 ALSO YOU FORGOT THE BUTTER
A great lot of positive projections and positive perceptions! Great positive energies and great positive vibes! Peace & Loves! ♾➕🌞💡🧬☢️⚛️⚡️🧿⚖️🕊🤍
Mayo – yes. Sour cream- never! Haha
I always wanted to try this!
This dish cannot be bad because grilled corn is just the best version of corn. So much more flavourful!
Having said that: I am happy your Mexican subscribers were kind to you about the parmesan and coconut yoghurt 😀 You simply invented a new dish based on this traditional street food!
.
As always, lots of love Rose!
Stay safe and have a great end of the week!
1st …the bbq was so impressive…secondly, 🌹…the Food Network can’t hold a candle 🕯 to you! You know Lulu and I are total fans …not just of you, but Nari, your sweet little 🐶 ! You truly outdid yourself today…looks and sounds so delicious 😋! PS. Still miss your original intro music. 😞
We just love Rose:)) So flexible, diverse, kind, and beautiful inside & out:)))) Jenxoxox!
The first time I made these, I didn't have Tajīn (where you used chili powder) so I used Gochugaru. It was delicious!
I remember watching you back in 2014 or so… oh goodness you’re convincing me to go back to vegan for good.
Rose if you can find the Mexican spice in a little bottle called Tajin
It will be a total came changer for you
It awesome on corn
Watermelon, apples
And even mangos
But really great on Mexican street corn
And try using Vegan Mayo next time it's more delicious than the
Vegan yogurt and yes Parmesan cheese in top
So just make the yummy Parm. You made and you'll be amazed at how yummy
It will be 😘💕
Forager just came out with a new Queso Fresco that I picked up a few days ago for this very recipe!
In my younger days, I’d have made watching your channel a drinking game! 🤣 When Rose says: ok? Drink!
Nice!! So happy you are trying our traditional foods and making it Vegan, thank you!! 👌👍💕 And yes, you are saying it right ELOTE 🤓🌽🌽🌽
Looks delish gonna try it!
I’m Mexican. Typically we use Mayo. Cotija cheese, some spice, like powdered spice, like tajin etc.
I’ve veganized it with vegan mayo and the cheese you made. I’ve never seen it with cilantro. Ever. But it does look pretty. Oh and we don’t put raw garlic. No lol
Lemons yes though.
Nice! I've been experimenting with vegan elote for a while, your variant looks more elaborate and delicious!
There's another example of vegan elote in this video of some vegans going throughout Mexico City (though no recipe is supplied): https://youtu.be/4GMITIF_mX8?t=525
I'm Mexican and I'm sorry to tell you this but this isn't Mexican elotes. I really think you should change the name of the video…. it's just not Mexican at all, it's more… sorry to say it but white washed "Mexican" lol. Still love you sis, but just thought I'd told you.
To get sour cream like taste the best to use is soy yogurt with a bit of salt and lemon juice. I'm hungarian we put sour cream almost into everything 😅😅
Yum!!!
I've never heard of this corn but it looks good. Also, Rose, the PC brand has a new vegan sour cream and it is so good! (Make sure to stir it up first though…I used to have to do that with real sour cream, too 😁) I'm really curious to see what your opinion of it is!
Sounds and looks delish! What do you recommend to use instead of cilantro? I can't eat cilantro, to me it tastes like dead flies in soap xP ( I imagine)
Not Mexican here. But Looks good to me. All I ever put was just butter. LoL. ☺️💖
I make as close as I can to my fav from the elotero. With follow your heart mayo, follow your heart parm the one that is in a shaker, and I put softened vegan margarine in a ziploc and cut the corner to squish it onto the corn. Lastly a sprinkle of pico de gallo chile powder and lime. 🤤🤤
I'm totally in love with the red hair! 😍😍
I’m mexican and i love elotes (btw your pronouncing it perfectly) looks pretty accurate but we don’t add cilantro, cilatro is more for tacos and pozole, looks pretty yummy
Needs more chili powder
🌽🌽🌽🕺🏽😂✨👍🏽👌🏽
I LOVEN CORN IN MY HOUSE PUT IN A GRILL THE CORN GRAIN WHIT CHARCOAL PUT ALUMINIUM FOIL BUTTER,CORN,MUSHROOMS,CHESEE CLOSE THE FOIL COOK AND ENJOY 👏👍🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽
Looks so delicious and easy! Cashew cheese is my favorite type of cheese! 😍
In Chicago you can find an Elote cart at every corner.. lol, not literally but they are not hard to find. And I've never heard of putting sour cream or cilantro on it. Those must the be fancy recipes. Lol , I'm sure it's good though because cilantro makes everything better! Lol. So, here in Chicago the corn is boiled. Mayo first, then squeezable butter, cheese next and your cayenne pepper. That's it! And yum yum yum it is… And it can all be veganized… That's how I do it… No more Elote Cart for me… No vegan option with the Elote. 🤷♀️😭 Lol Enjoy!!
