Great tips on the plant based vit D supplement. The downside is that plant-based vit D leaves the body quickly and you have to take higher volumes. There are negative side effects that you can Google. However, just remember, the ONLY way you can truly get vit D naturally is from the sun. 15 min is all you need to convert 1,000 IU's daily, if you are eligible. To be eligible, you need to have medium to light skin tones. Darker skin tones can make vit D too but need to be exposed much longer and therefore risk skin cancer. Expose your arms, legs or back, cover your face and neck with SPF and a hat. What's amazing is that you can build up a reserve to last you through the winter. You can never get too much vit D from the sun. Our skin knows how to properly convert sun rays into Vit D directly into our bloodstream. The body is simply amazing.
