Should try making Bak Kwa (barbecued pork), it can be quite addictive. It will be great if you can coincide it with Chinese New Year, next year. It is a staple purchase in that holiday season. Since I'm from Singapore I prefer Lim Chee Guan's version (doubt that it's readily available in the states) but I'm sure there are other brands / recipes you can try.
