We also have several versions of this, such as cocoa. It can be hazelnuts, raisins, blueberries. – etc.- The point is, the rice should be well prepared. (Then add the yellow cream and then the foam.) It's also definitely very delicious! Clever! There is also a lot of very delicious Hungarian food and sweets. I recommend the videos of "Mészi főz", Marcsi Borbás, György Hargitai, Szilvi Szécsi!

Both of my grandmothers who emigrated to the US from Hungary and Austria made rice cake all the time, it's my favorite, but their recipe was very simple and tastes so delicious. 1qt milk, 1cup rice, 1/4 cup butter, abt 1 cup sugar to taste, 3 eggs, 1/4 tsp baking powder and salt to taste (little bit in rice). You could add raisins if you'd like, I like to put cinnamon on mine. Add the butter to the rice while still warm , when cool, beat eggs and add them, the sugar & baking powder. Bake at 350 for 1hr. It's so easy I have it memorized!
I'm still going to try this recipe though, and if I like it, it will go in my box! 🙂

Thank you very much for this recipe. This rizskoch looks exactly like what I remember my mother frequently making during my childhood and I will definitely try making it myself. She always served it with a sauce made with red wine, I believe she called it "bor sato" or something like that. Do you have a recipe for that kind of sauce?
