I stared my canning journey last year with my summer harvest. But I never canned chick peas and never thought about canning them. I always buy a can from the store to make my hummus. But this is an awesome idea for preparing and having one last thing to buy at the store.🤗

Thanks, Rachel for the hummus video. I just got an electric canner for Christmas and now I can do pressure canning! I am so excited to try all the recipes for pressure canning. There is just my husband and I and we don't need large amounts of food even if I give some away. This will be one recipe I think we can use. We love garbonzo beans in salads and some of my family like hummus and it would be a nice thing to have on hand for a quick snack when company comes. Happy New Year to you and Todd.

This is really brilliant. So you don’t have to worry about having tahini (sesame paste) on hand and oh so quick to whip up. I feel like this might be smoother hummus then I have made (I don’t mind coarse hummus though). What machine do you us to get those sesame seeds ground up well? Thanks so much I am going to watch your other hummus videos now.

This was amazing to watch! I always learn something new from you. I've been watching a year now and enjoy my time watching. Hummus is one I have failed a few times and canning has been a struggle to learn. Thanks!

Love hummus and love this idea of basically hummus in the jar, thank you for sharing this. I found your channel recently, and this Canuary event looks awesome – already looking at the other channels too.

This is fantastic! I love you sharing how to can hummus in a jar. Never thought to add sesame seeds to the garbanzo beans. Thanks for showing us your fast food canning!

This is so intriguing. Is this the first time you've done it this way (with sesame seeds)? I would love to see you pop open a jar and show us how it turns out. Maybe during a pantry challenge, "What's for dinner?"

I saw a similar canning recipe last year and got so excited to try it out until I read that sesame seeds aren't safe for canning. Is that incorrect? I believe there was an issue with the oil in the seeds making it potentially unsafe but I'm so hopeful that it was wrong so that I can give this a try!
