I bought my granddaughter the chocolate advent calendar and after nothing was in door 1, opened it to find out that only four were taped and all the other chocolates etc, were fallen in a corner. Thereโs nothing to keep them behind the doors.

I too find the wrapped gift sets to look obviously from a store and impersonal. I understand why people buy them but it shows imo little thought and not wanting to give more than a minute to pick up a gift and not even wrap it for the person. It is so easy these days to find cheap unique containers of your own and pick up a variety of items with some thought of the person. Maybe they like sweets or have a favorite candy and a favorite type of chips, a favorite coffee, maybe they love unique coffee cups, or unique trivets or whatever. Even if only one of the things in the basket is something you know they like, the choice of container and one item they prefer shows thought. Even a teacher or person whose taste one has no idea of, one can do better than a prewrapped store gift set imo. I feel the same quite honestly about gift cards. 80 percent of people "sell" them imo, especially teens and the 20 somethings, just as people "regift" them and gifts.
Also if one figures the items in the set out by the ounce and price, they are a rip-off. As with many things, you pay for convenience.
ETA: I also recommend an easy fix if you do buy one of taking off the cellophane and adding one's own bow and some things to personalize it more. Jmo.

you do know they have the blankets to match your robe and they are SCRUMPTIOUS!!! Everyone I know is getting a throw as they are $29 and the Barefoot Dreams one (that I have two of!!!) are $180 and they are EXACTLY the same!!!! If you cant find them in your bedding area (near the sheets) order online while you can get them!!!! WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! Great gift!!! I got one for a friend to take to chemo appts!!!
