I still have my mother's "instant pot" pressure cooker, AND my own newer pressure cooker with the booklet of recipes that are exactly the same time and temp settings as you are showing. Use pressure cooker several times a week still.

Thank you for this video. I just got my Instant Pot cooked my eggs fine but my soup kept saying food burn. Your video has helped me see what I did wrong. I don’t think I did the sealed step. Back to the drawing board.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this video! It has relieved my fears of the instant pot and has confirmed that I read the instructions correctly. My boyfriend and I got an instant pot as a Christmas gift and we’re making pot roast for the first time tonight. Subscribed!

I've tried to use my instant pot several times, exactly as you show in this video. However, after about 2-5 minutes I get a "burn" message. The pot never gets hot the first time around. I have to screw with it several times before I can get it to do anything. It's hit or miss after I've attempted to restart the pot multiple times. I have given up more times than I actually got to cook anything. Is there some special thing I need to do before I start cooking? Say a chant, whisper some incantation, sprinkle fairy dust? I don't know 🙁

The yogurt fermenting temperature is 100 degrees and not 110 degrees like everyone thinks on 8 hours. And the 24 hour selection is at 85 degrees. If you don't believe me measure them.

I'm cooking chili right now and im loving this thing. Three days ago I made french dip sandwiches and it cooked a 4 pound top round roast in 65 minutes. This machine is killer. It's kind of awkward setting the time but im used to it now.

So is the seal ring already on it? I got one and it also came with a red plastic ring that I"m assuming is extra. Or is that the ring I need to put around it? There is already a clear ring… HELP! lol

I decided to buy this (in the Black Friday sale), prompted by the discount and its claims. The prospect of letting go of my old pressure cooker, a slow cookpot and yogurt maker and replacing them with a single item of equipment was too good to be true. And the charity was more than happy to take them off my hands. I confess, I didn't find the user manual or the recipe book that came with the product very helpful but made the effort, today, to use the pot for the first time. Fortunately I came across this video and made some soup. Delicious! "Onward and upward", as they say. It'll be good, too, for pre-cooking my Seville oranges this month for some great-tasting marmalade and I am going to sign up for some recipes and other tips.
