Great tips! And a food saver is a MUST! This is what works for us, since we’re empty nesters we go to Sam’s Club right when they open & head to the meat counter and get marked down beef & pork roasts, hamburger, etc. I cut the beef roasts into 2 “steaks,” 1 small roast, & stew meat. The pork roasts I put in the crockpot all day and make pulled pork out of the leftovers which we eat on buns, baked potatoes, and pork nachos. For chicken, Sam’s puts 4 rotisserie breasts in a container (previous day) for $3.99, I shred & freeze it for sandwiches, tacos, nachos, chicken, cranberry & walnut salads. We spend around $150. I get all my other groceries at Aldi and spend about $100, and then the basic staples like milk, bread , eggs and toiletries are buy as needed. This usually lasts a month. Finally, we always meal plan! Love your channel 🙂

We buy half a side of beef from my daughter in law’s sisters farm. Of course we have a deep freezer but it makes the meat so affordable and helps local farmers. We also buy bulk packages of chicken and pork at Sam’s. We also have a garden every year and I’m canning right now. Great video!
