Money Saving Tips for Chicken – Cook Like Mama Did – Collard Valley Cooks Today I show you how to prep a whole chicken to …
Tammy, I am with you on this. The fear of raw chicken touch/prep has always made me chuckle. This 65 year old woman has done this since 19 and never had a problem. Thank you!
If y’all can even believe it I have friends that refuse to touch any meat. My mama taught me to cut up chicken when I was a kid.
Can't wait for you to try that recipe I sent you. God bless you and your beautiful family. learning alot from you been cooking all my life and still learning. What a blessing you are.
❤️👍
This video definitely helps with cutting up a whole chicken. Ive not done it yet myself but mostly because I dont have a good enough knife. I would always watch you again even still. Its a great reminder too about cross contamination with the chicken juice, it has some real booger germs to be careful of. Love ya and God bless. Shirley.
Thank you for this! I am so intimidated to cut up a chicken 😁 This was so helpful!
Tammy do you have a recipe for Southern Fried Chicken and Waffles? A delicious combination of sweet syrupy waffles and salty Fried Chicken! Very popular here in Arizona!
Great tutorial Tammy. ♥️
What’s wrong with touching a chicken or any other food. I use my clean bare hands slot when I cook if I need to. I’m not saying I play with my food. But when prepping or making pie crust or biscuits I have cut the butter in flour with my hands. Not always tho.
Great video.
THANKYOU SOOO MUCH for your Tutorial in HOW TO CUT A CHICKEN 🍗. I think there are a Lot of ppl that didn’t get taught how to do it correctly and how that fat line can guide us on how to cut it. Thankyou Tammy 👩🍳
I’ve never done this so a great lesson for me. Had no idea how many pieces there was. Thank you very much. Love ya Miss Tammy ♥️♥️
Oh good lord! It's a wonder we are all still alive! We always stuffed our turkeys/chickens. My mama taught me how to cut up a chicken when I was 8 years old. I like doing it! We always had to fry the back because Daddy liked the two little oysters, along with the liver and gizzards. I always cut the bottom off the breast off so the kids could fight over the "wishbone". LOL
Tammy, I've been stuffing my Thanksgiving turkey for thirty five years and not yet had given my family salmonella poisoning. Thank God anyway! 🥰
Good job Tammy, your videos are so valuable. Most of us just never learned how easy it is to cut up a chicken. That's a lot of meat, you're right! Thanks
Thanks for the demo..
Thank you.
I appreciate you taking the time to film this video. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. Like you said times are getting hard and I love the thought of breaking down a whole chicken and secondly making our own broth. Thank you again Love your channel. Blessings Doan
Would you use a lemon?
All you have to do is clean your sink and wash your hands..no big deal..right?..
Like drying off a baby..haha
My dad was a butcher so I was taught by my him at a young age..
Btw, would love to see some merch with your face and a slogan like “real women handle chicken” 😆
You’re looking darlin in that red and white apron. I cannot believe how fast your hair grows girl. So cute. Ok, back to the chicken, you know I’m old enough to be your Momma,so as a young girl, I had to learn to cut up a chicken. It’s messy, but you just make some hot soapy water, then wipe down with some Clorox water, done. All kill, all germs gone. I’m not sure when it started, but I figure people as told not to rinse your birds but maybe they just needed to learn how to wash their hands and sterile the area with Clorox water. You did a best service teaching ones that have never had to cut up a whole chicken. Thank you Tammy.🥰
Thanks for the reminder and money savings.
That is the best demonstration of how to cut up a chicken I have seen to date. Most people just say “cut here and here” and don’t realize how difficult it is for a viewer to get a fix on “here” in a video. Thank you for mentioning the fat line and how to feel for things on the chicken. I learned so much. I also didn’t know there was a difference between a baking hen and a fryer! 😳 🙈
I watched to see how you make a 20 minute video over a raw chicken.
THANK YOU FOR SAYING WHAT I AND IM SURE OTHERS WERE THINKING 😆 🤣 😂 Love you Mrs Tammy
