This video definitely helps with cutting up a whole chicken. Ive not done it yet myself but mostly because I dont have a good enough knife. I would always watch you again even still. Its a great reminder too about cross contamination with the chicken juice, it has some real booger germs to be careful of. Love ya and God bless. Shirley.

Thank you for this! I am so intimidated to cut up a chicken 😁 This was so helpful!
Tammy do you have a recipe for Southern Fried Chicken and Waffles? A delicious combination of sweet syrupy waffles and salty Fried Chicken! Very popular here in Arizona!

What’s wrong with touching a chicken or any other food. I use my clean bare hands slot when I cook if I need to. I’m not saying I play with my food. But when prepping or making pie crust or biscuits I have cut the butter in flour with my hands. Not always tho.
    Great video.

Oh good lord! It's a wonder we are all still alive! We always stuffed our turkeys/chickens. My mama taught me how to cut up a chicken when I was 8 years old. I like doing it! We always had to fry the back because Daddy liked the two little oysters, along with the liver and gizzards. I always cut the bottom off the breast off so the kids could fight over the "wishbone". LOL

I appreciate you taking the time to film this video. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. Like you said times are getting hard and I love the thought of breaking down a whole chicken and secondly making our own broth. Thank you again Love your channel. Blessings Doan

You’re looking darlin in that red and white apron. I cannot believe how fast your hair grows girl. So cute. Ok, back to the chicken, you know I’m old enough to be your Momma,so as a young girl, I had to learn to cut up a chicken. It’s messy, but you just make some hot soapy water, then wipe down with some Clorox water, done. All kill, all germs gone. I’m not sure when it started, but I figure people as told not to rinse your birds but maybe they just needed to learn how to wash their hands and sterile the area with Clorox water. You did a best service teaching ones that have never had to cut up a whole chicken. Thank you Tammy.🥰

That is the best demonstration of how to cut up a chicken I have seen to date. Most people just say “cut here and here” and don’t realize how difficult it is for a viewer to get a fix on “here” in a video. Thank you for mentioning the fat line and how to feel for things on the chicken. I learned so much. I also didn’t know there was a difference between a baking hen and a fryer! 😳 🙈
