These ppl are. Asian and can't even make rice. When I seen it didn't fall off the spoon that's how you know you effed it up. You don't need to rinse and you need oil.

You said β€œfrom medium to high” but showed yourself going from high to medium, so I’m lowkey confused, and what did you mean by a β€œbase?” What was the five finger technique for? Soooo many questions

Perfect Asian rice. For making Middle Eastern rice, it should be fluffy and the greens separate. That would involve washing your basmati rice three times. Filling a pot up with water with the rice in it bring it to boil until the rice is fairly tender but not really cooked straining it Putting oil or butter in the bottom of the pan with some saffron. Put the rice back in the pan or pot poke a hole to the bottom of the pan so there’s a hole in the middle of the the rice. Take a towel and cover the lid for moisture placed on top of the pan turn to very low and cook for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Invert the pot on top of a serving platter remove the pot and you have perfect style Persian/Middle Eastern rice.
