I've been using the asian method for measuring rice for a few years now, and….yeah it's actually perfect evey time, no cap.
So you cook it on high heat for 10mins then turn it down to medium for 5mins then turn off heat for another 5mins?? Is that how?

Perfect Asian rice. For making Middle Eastern rice, it should be fluffy and the greens separate. That would involve washing your basmati rice three times. Filling a pot up with water with the rice in it bring it to boil until the rice is fairly tender but not really cooked straining it Putting oil or butter in the bottom of the pan with some saffron. Put the rice back in the pan or pot poke a hole to the bottom of the pan so thereβs a hole in the middle of the the rice. Take a towel and cover the lid for moisture placed on top of the pan turn to very low and cook for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Invert the pot on top of a serving platter remove the pot and you have perfect style Persian/Middle Eastern rice.
Hereβs a good tip for beginners. One cup of rice and two cups of water. Always double the water
