My first time making grits was yesterday and they was hard. I'm expecting for it to just take 5 minutes. Now I'm re-cooking then to soften them more as I watch your video. Thank you. I made a vegan version added Almond milk nutritional yeast and organic better than bouillon and it tastes really good thank you for sharing.

I made these for the first time in 15 years maybe the other day I added 2 eggs to it and mixed the runny yoke into it wasn't half bad I need to keep experimenting with them.

Thank You for this delightful video. Your personality really shines thru. I do love so much of the South. Gonna make these cheesy grits w/ some x-large fresh shrimps for the wife tonight. If you really like cajun or blackened shrimp, try Szechuan peppered shrimp. It's next-level in that same spice-flavor profile. I aim for Butter "critical mass".

Looks good but there's no way you'd add a tablespoon of salt to 4 cups of water plus knorr bullion, it would definitely be too salty. A teaspoon of salt sounds more reasonable.

Thank you so much! I made some bbq pork shoulder and grits for me and my roommate because we both went to Thanksgiving outside the house and I wanted leftovers. We loved it!

Anyone who says whit folks can't cook just remember that soul food and caijun food is from France. It's white people food. I'm native American but just think it's rediculous when people say white people can't cook.
