I remember Mama used to make snow cream when I was young. I think that she used condensed milk with hers. This reminds me of Ice Milk, do you remember when they used to sell that by the ice cream? My Mamaw used to buy that all the time.

Let me tell you we have 8 inches and the freezing rain now. Terry made 2 passed with the snow blower and it died. He's cold wet and we are covered in white!! Don't eat yellow snow 🌨️❄️

Never heard of snow cream. My dad used to make ice cream with an old crank IC maker and rock salt outside the inner bowl. Don't get much snow here usually, but could have made snow cream before New Years.

Very interesting! I've never had nor heard of snow cream, which may seem odd since I live in New England where we get snow all the time. Maybe it's specialized to places that don't get snow that often and aren't sick of it? lol

We kids would grab a mug run outside and go to town on it lol we used evaporated milk, vanilla and sugar, we also had to wait till we had a good layer on the ground then we would gather supposedly so the snow was more pure

Yay! So glad you got your snow. We got 3 inches and then it turned to sleet. That is the good news that it’s not freezing rain so maybe we won’t lose our electricity. . When the kids were little, I took the shortcut making snow cream and used sweetened condensed milk. You do sound better.

Only getting rain in my part of NC. Just looked at the radar and it is just greens , red and yellow. But I did hear we are expecting the real thing this coming Friday pm. Hope not though, my daughter has to work that night. 🙁

Looks so good. It’s probably been at least 40 years since I had some. I grew up on snow cream. Our snow was usually heavy like yours. Glad you are on the mend and can have some soon. 🙏💕
