    Guys chill out on the nationality, I’m sure this exact version here is an “Israeli salad” but the basics of this salad you can find as far west as parts of the Balkans like Serbia, as far north as the Caucauses like Georgia, as far east as Iran, and as then south into the Arab Peninsula. So I don’t think really anyone can call it their salad.

    A lot of my family is from Iran, so I grew up calling sharazi salad. I think it’s kind of interesting to see just how many other cultures eat basically the same thing just under a different name. Actually pretty hard to find other foods like that if you think about it
