This is the best recipe for osso bucco that I have seen on UTube or in any book. Very well explained. Even better than Lidia's! I tried it for Sunday lunch, and it is perfect! Everybody loved it, it looked beautiful, smelled wonderful and tasted even better! Grazie!!
What are you doing using metal with a enamel pot!
half hour later, Joe is finished listing the ingredients. Maybe it's faster to tell us what it doesn't need.
Hi Joe ! My Dad was also from Piedmont in Villa Franca ! Just finished cooking the Osso Buco was delicious thanks for the video ! Have a good week ππ·

Think I bought a used car from this guy
That looked AMAZING, I gotta try making this dish, Thanks for sharing Joe!
When I've heard his big American mouth I said ohh no. But I said I give him few minutes. When I saw ingredients I said OK let's look than he cooked it almost the same way as me. Delicious. Thanks 4 the video next time cut 10 minutes lol.
For the broth, instead of veal broth, buy some beef bones (preferably shank bones that are cut to open the marrow) sprinkle with a little salt and pepper. Roast in an oven at 400F for 25 minutes. Straight from the oven into a pot of water to cover and add rough chopped onions, carrots and celery. Slow boil it for an hour or so. Let it cool until you can touch it then clean out the bones, strain it and you have some stock that is so rich, you will never find in a package in the store.
Oh and while it's not exactly in Puglia, Sassi De Matera is a truly amazing place. Your Italian family lives in a very beautiful place.
U talk too much Omg πππ
How you doing π€£
Hi
I couldn't find the oil on amazon. Can you give me a link?.
My Ciaburri family is from Foggia, Pulgia Italy. I can't wait to make this for Christmas dinner.
I wanted to see a close up! Haahaa! But it still looks great from my office.
Good god!!! NO
Love to watch you cook, Joe! You seem to really enjoy food and cooking. Me too!
I just watched about 1/2 dozen Osso Buco recipe videos from home cooks to Italian chefs speaking in Italian, and was disappointed until I just watched your video. Looks absolutely delicious and cannot wait to prepare this recipe! It's after 1am and I'm now starving again!
Love your video and your personality. I will subscribe after commenting. Have you tried it in a pressure cooker yet? I bought beef shanks and would like to use my Instant Pot, but not sure. You suggest white wine because red would overpower the veal, how about if you are using beef shanks? Thank you so much.
So enjoyed your personality LOL. Great job.
Hi Joe, I'm on to my 12th annual Super Bowl Party or as its been coined the Osso Buco Bowl Party. It started with a few buddies and has increased to 10 buddies and seems to increase every year. lol. I slow cook it at 250 for 5 hours and its always amazing. But i think i'm going to introduce a few of your secrets to my recipe for tomorrow's Osso Buco Bowl. The cinnamon and the pancetta. I like your recipe it may be my go to for my upcoming years of Osso Buco Bowls. Thanks for the tips and i have subscribed to your channel because i think your a great chef. Being Sicilian i appreciate good quality food. Buon Appetito!
My husband only wants this made with lamb.He loves it.
Hey Joe Our Familia's are from the same area in Italy!
OMG!! It looked so awesome and great!! pair it with red cab!
Getting your OLIVE OIL right now!!! Can't wait!! I had been in search of a TURE authentic Italian OLIVE OIL in the market..thank you!
I am going to make it right now. I have beef shanks but I am gonna use your method. Next time I will get veal.
Delicious!! πΎπ₯π
I've got to say I really appreciate that you show yourself eating it at the end. Too many cooking shows don't show it.
When you construct and then break down a dish you get a visual understanding of its layers and textures.
Also you consummate the purpose of good cooking, the joy of eating.

Love authentic recipes! I add espresso but going to try the cinnamon next time!
We want to hear the song first.
It's been many years since I prepared Ossobucco. The first time I did it, as you say…. the SMELL in the kitchen was magic! I'm glad to see I did it right… the same way you did. Thanks Joe!
Thanks again for another awesome dish! It looks absolutely delicious and, yes, you did take out the intimidation of this recipe. I always wanted to make it, but reading the recipe always made it seem overwhelming. Thanks again for sharing and keep those shameless plugs coming!! Lol….great work!
