Mine is really similar, I do add more herbs. Thyme sage marjoram parsley or even poultry seasoning. Whatever herbs you prefer it really does take it to another level.

I'm a single guy, so let me share a trick I learned: I make a lot of "mini pies" – I use of all things: used mason jar rims/lids. Cut the pie crust to fit the shape and just make a whooooooole bunch of mini personal pies, and freeze them up. All you have to do is thaw them, toast them if needed, and you have yourself a tasty, personal mini-pie. I've never tried it with chicken pot pie but maybe I'll give this one a shot.

Update, I made this today and just finished eating a slice.. It was so so delish.. Of course I had to give it some sabor, so I tweaked the recipe by adding celery, mushrooms, more seasonings, and herbs.
