You can use this, or just vanilla beans to make your own Homemade Coffee Liqueur: https://youtu.be/V5NZjhcZVcI
If your vodka is 70 proof, it's 65% water. And 35% alcohol, not 100% alcohol. Pure Vanilla extract you buy in the store is about the same.
Thank you for the step by step tutorial! I did one batch of vodka and one with spicy rum. I plan to use mine for Christmas gifts and hope to make a ton more! Really appreciate your video!!
How come you couldn't cut the beans up smaller than in half? Wouldn't they steep faster and more thoroughly if more surface ares is exposed? Or use less alcohol to make the flavor more concentrated? Thanks.
Wrong…the vanilla bean infuses a dark caramel color over time in the solvent ( C2H5OH ) the manufactures ie.. McCormick/Schilling et al add coloring because the extract is so diluted they have to…good vanilla is not clear my friend..you are sadly mistaken..you might want to do a little research before you hurl you're video out there for the world to see…just sayin?
Nice!! Vodka, spare the vanilla 🙂
