Hi Kim, if cooked on the stovetop how long would you let it simmer for? I did mine on Sunday and although it came out very flavorful, it didn't look as dense and dark as yours. It was very light in color.

I went to SF Culinary School when I was young the butchers use to give me free bones from the meat they cut, to make my stock! I don't think they do that anymore. I too still make my own stock, good stuff right 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

I read somewhere that roasting the bones and veggies first, then cooking them in water brings out all of the flavor. Just a thought… Terrific video as always Kim ! Have a great weekend ! 💞 I Love your frozen scrap bag idea… genius !

This is awesome! I’ve wondered how people make their own chicken stock before and I actually have a roast chicken in my fridge right now I can do this with. Thanks for sharing. Perfect timing lol 😊

And if I don't have an instant pot? I should put everything in a normal pot and let it on very slow for how long? I usually do something similar, but without vegetables, just the water infused with what the boned chicken has left after boiling. I have a recipe in which I use boiled chicken breast and I thought to myself why not use this chicken water to boil my rice instead of using plain water, and I did it more than once and it worked fine. It was better than throwing it and use plain water. Thank you for sharing! Xoxo
