    Thank you. I tried this yesterday and it was a great success! I used normal sugar and added soda water to boiling water to make the correct amount, the taste wasn’t compromised. The only downfall was that everybody ate it, so I have to make another today! 😜

    followed the recipe but the bake was not right. Not sure what I did wrong. .. If I didn't let it rise enough or didn't bake it long enough. It seemed as though the crumb was just starting to develop but the texture was very dense and underbaked. If anyone has the answer for me please let me know.
