A tip for the savory tamales. To the tamales' mixture, besides the cheese, add also chopped rosted poblano chiles, it will give you a very delicious flavor. YUMMY!!👍😋

Mama I love you love you very much ❤. I'm over sixty. I'm some what computer savvy, but not a lot. I need to take notes. So if you don't say how much you use with your ingredients I probably won't get your recipe. Thank you Mama 😊 💓.

What if I decided I want to buy pre made masa, how should I go about this? Would I just add the corn purée,sugar, and vanilla?

Is his kind of like taking jiffy mix and putting cream corn and cheese and sour cream in with the package and baking it in pan or glass dish? Could u use the jiffy mix and put it in with a corn cob shell?

Remember i said can make a lot of things from tamales. Try this for breakfast. > FOR 1 PERSON ! Double for 2! and so on ! 1 tamale, 1 egg, bacon bits, some chopped green chilies. some picante sauce and any kind of cheese. OK warm up the tamale in a plate, in a micro wave with some water in the plate. This steam cooks it! Then take your skillet, or grill place some butter, add the chopped up green chili in it then take the egg cracked it on the green chili, and bacon bits, chopped it up ! when cooked, add to the tamale with the husk off and drain. Put egg , bacon, chili, Salt and pepper to your taste. with some CHEESE ( i like cheddar or mozzarella cheese ). on the tamale ~ warm it up in the micro wave, to melt the cheese.." Can GARISH with diced tomato's, diced onions, lettuce or Cilantro if you wish! " or Take it out, put your picante sauce on it, and ENJOY! YUM ! I call this : Tamale Ranchero he hee Remember to make a lot of tamales! i bundle them in 12's put saran wrap around them. Then foil around them. They last a long time by Freezing them, and make many things from them! Pop them on a plate with water and steam them hot, in the micro wave! about 2 or 3 min YUM

Don't throw out the silk! It makes a great tea! I don't know what my Indigenous ancestors used to call this recipe, but I know the Diné people also eat thus, they call it kneeling down bread. In my family we use young spring corn. And the corn was mashed nothing was added, and it was wrapped and roasted on an open fire. I've heard some people add honey, berries and even nuts, but I've only tasted the young spring corn. And they would be so gooooooood! You could have them either savory or sweet, all you had to do was add some hot sauce and salt, or even vinegar pepper sauce. Or add butter and honey or salt. I loved them plain, or with hot sauce and with a side of greens, and some chicken!!
