How to make Fast Marmalade
For more great Instant Pot recipes, please visit InstantPotEasy.com
This great recipe doesn’t require much boiling so is really great if you have a load of leftover oranges but not a lot of time! See the full recipe and post here: …
Maybe my English is not very good, but this is considered "fast"?
Why does one not just add gelatine to make jam fast?
Does the orange has 2 that clean ….
This stuff is excellent!
Thank you for this video. A lot of grocery stores around here have these lovely oranges on clearance right now and between this marmalade and your orange curd I am no longer racking my brains trying to think of something to do with all of them besides smoothies.
Please check my more recent videos – they're not perfect, but they're a significant improvement over this one… it was one of my first videos so it's not surprising it's a bit fail 🙂
I got a too bored after 10 seconds. To compete with other food channels out there add some music and a bit of live into your commentary, just a suggestion.
There's a transcript of the video in English which you can turn on by clicking "CC" 🙂
good job straight forward ,super `
Thanks Linae – I did go through and subtitle the whole video now… you can view the subs by clicking on CC :). My newer videos are hopefully much better… I invested in a much better mic!
Hi Kathy, thanks a lot – my newer videos have much better sound, haha – the microphone I was using then was really bad! I did go through the video though and actually write out subtitles for the whole video though – you can see them by clicking on "CC". I also have the recipe posted on my own site, linked to under the video in the description! 🙂
looks great , but i so wish i could of heard you better, i figured it out enough to make it , ty 4 sharing such a easy n fast recipe. hugs
Thanks for the vid… I made some today .. watched your vid 2 days ago.. had some tangerines on hand … on the stove as at this moment… had to come back to check if it really was .80 liters of water… seemed much.. but that's what your recipes says… looking forward to the outcome. thanks for sharing!
I had a hard time understanding the video too. I like the caption idea or a direction list for later printout would be helpful. There was a little feedback which made it hard to understand you in the video, especially during the blender scene. You might have been a little close to the microphone, which would would result in the slight echo sound making it hard to hear. Great voice, just to close to the mic. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for your comment, and your questions!
The seeds – I actually used clementines, so there were no seeds. If you do use a citrus fruit with seeds then I'd take them out before cooking.
The shelf-life – I had at least one jar in my cupboard for a year. When I took it out the flavour was delicious, I think it improves over time. As long as it's an air-tight seal it can keep for at least a year. Hot water canning should be absolutely fine, and shouldn't alter the life of the product! Good luck!
I could hear just fine but I got some questions – you take the seeds out when it is cooking or before cooking – and – how long will it keep on the shelf or in the fridge and if I hot water canned it would that be okay???
love this by the way – I am going to watch more
The recipe was seems to be good.. Will try soon..
The voice over was audible.. 🙂
One question..
Did u say 1.8 liters of Water as it was 0.8 liters of Water on the screen!!! 🙁

Brilliant recipe….and no problem with sound.I can't wait to try this-it's so uncomplicated.
Thanks.
I guess quartering them would be quicker. As you can see the food processor is already used to everything up, but I just cut it small in the first place to get the pips out and to put less strain on the mixer (my mixer is a bit old and not very good)!
Easier: use the processor slicing blade: quarter the fruit, shave off/discard white strip down the center, belly button, stem &put everything else thru processor. does a better job than by hand. Boil the juice, measure (by volume) &use 3 parts sugar to 4 parts of fruit mix. Example: I had 2 gallons juice on Sunday &added 1.5 gallons sugar. just right, not too sweet or tart. Great grandmas 100+ year old recipe. pips float while boiling; skim out. SoCal here: we have trees & make LOTS of marmalade
I appreciate the time you take to show how to make this don't worry for the comments about the noise.who cares?
i can hear everything fine….get better speakers everyone..
Mom said "don't talk with ya mouth full." I say don't give voice instruction with the food processor blasting.
Thanks for the tutorial! Do you remove the seeds or leave them in?
@FiveEuroFood Audio seems fine to me
captions would really help, especially when the food processor is going….
Will try with Kumquats! Thanks!
This is the best recipe for orange marmalade ever! Thanks for sharing!
Really, the sound reminds me the quality from a WWII radio set….
@hotboyclarence – nice, thanks for the feedback – I'll definitely do that from now on!
@hotboyclarence – Yeah, sound quality isn't great – I try to do what I can but I'm always on the lookout for improvements. Maybe I'll just skip the voiceovers and put captions instead.
Looks great! thanks!!!
