    From my job I have all the smoked rib and chicken bones I could ever need, about to make a broth in my slow cooker with both. Is that abnormal to use both? I think it would add a level of flavor. May be perfect for a southern take on Vietnamese pho. Rice noodles with thinly sliced sirloin? Anyone got an idea of what I’m talking about or is that too much

    I do this all the time with chicken feet and chicken or turkey necks. I get a very gelatinous broth. That’s how I know I’ve got good collagen. But no need to set the IP for 120 minutes twice. Just set it once for 240 minutes. That’s the max for my pot. The broth is awesome!!

    Your correct about the ACV drawing out nutrients from the bones.
    I prefer to drizzle it over the bones before any water is poured in, leave to absorb into bones for 30 mins, then add distilled water.
    Other than that you were spot on.

    Curious how you would do Fish (Bone) Broth, mostly the amount of time and if you have ever had frothing problems.
    I can get fresh fish carcasses anytime I need them and have boiled them on the stove … pressure cooking them would save time and probably extract even more goodness.

I think the 8 quart version we got is maybe a little large for most people's needs, but I really appreciate the versatility of being able to put a larger quantity into the pot – it's made dishes like stir-fry and rice possible to cook at the same time. If you're on the fence about what size to get, or if you should get one at all, I would say go for it!

    Excellent instruction, I was a chef for 40 years, but just got into the bone broth, did a lot of vegetable stock pots though. Just needed the time for the pressure cooker…..thanks for that. I wasn't going to comment, but I noticed you were videoing in the mirror. Bragg's label was backwards and so was the numbers on the Insta-pot. Made me smile. Thanks for the information.
