I used to think that aquafaba is just the liquid in a cracked open a can of chickpeas. If it is really this much effort to soak and heat up the chickpeas I will be sticking to egg whites

I always soak the chickpeas with soda overnight as it doesn’t cause bloating afterwards but rise it out well before cooking . Would this effect the PH as you mentioned in the video? Any clarification on this would be appreciated. Thank you in advance .🙏🏻

Mary, you say "after burning the pot my boyfriend bought me a new one because if he didn't I'd be making soup and stew in a frying pan. Because that's how I do." Freakin' hysterical I totally resonate with that.

Hi Mary Do you know if the AF works once frozen? I am unlikely to make meringues….though I might if I check out your video! – but I could use it in baked goods. If you said it in the video and sorry I missed it. 🙂

I failed making meringue either using canned aquafaba or homemade aquafaba (yes I haven't stored it yet in the fridge.). I'm hopeless 'll try it again tho. How long did you spend the time to whip the aquafaba to become that thick like soft peak?

I’ve recently found recipes for making mayonnaise with aquafaba instead of raw eggs and LOVE it!

Thank you for this recipe for cooking chickpeas and making the aquafaba.

Very well done and most appreciative of the disclaimer regarding the recipe's origin. However, indigenous cultures all around the world speak the name of those that give them their wisdom which brings additional spiritual blessings. But all in all, a most beautifully done presentation.
