    Dear Christine.
As an Aussie, I can relate to having a fussy husband and children.
My first husband REFUSED to eat chicken stuffing and bread pudding.
I made my stuffing from scratch. I asked him to taste it.
From then on, he complained if I didn’t put stuffing on his plate.
Then I made banana bread custard pudding. He loved it and my ex MIL hated me.
With my second husband, he refused to eat pumpkin.
I roasted pumpkin and he ate it with dinner.
I put it in pasta or salads and he ate it.
My ex MIL thought I bewitched him.
For the children, my modus operandi was either to make a mixed dish with hidden vegetables, or to lay out a Mexican style platter with tortillas.
I was always surprised at just how many veggies the children would eat IF they had their own selection.
I have used this same tactic on other children who were fussy eaters and it ALWAYS WORKS.
    Even fruit.
Buy the seasonal fruit. Cut it up into pieces and put it in the fridge.
Kids fill up their bowls coming back for more.

Great menu ideas! Those are all things we would actually eat, especially that chicken pot pie. I priced it out and it came out to $62.55 in my area which I didn't think was bad. I really need to make that bread. I keep seeing you make it, and I just never have. No excuses. Just haven't done it.

Would you ever consider doing this challenge with different types of diets? We're celiacs in my household so we can't eat many of the cheaper products because they end up having flour and other types of gluten in them.

I can’t even say how much Wic helped us. They cover much higher income level than food stamps. But only to age 5. Soooo wish it was longer. My youngest turns 5 next week and the vegetables and eggs alone have been a huge help.
