No flavor in that crap. As a retire chef please try this . First go to Whole Foods or a health food store and buy a collection of rice , short ,long and most important RED rice! That’s one of the secrets. Don’t buy cheap brown rice !Mix them all up and place them in a container. Sauté 1/2 cp of chopped onions, add a tbs of garlic . Use olive oil 2-3 Tbs. Cook 3-5 minutes. Add one cup of mixed rice and cook for 1 min coating the rice in oil. Add 3 cups of water and some chicken base (Better than Boullion is the best) . Add a bay leaf , pepper and about 4 Tbs of Soy Sause .Bring to a boil and simmer for 45 min. Put a lid on the pot. You might have to add more water and salt . When it’s done add 1 Tbs of Sesame Oil. You’ll never go back again to bad brown rice!

As soon as I saw he didn't measure the amount of water at all and said overfilling the pot with water is worth it… I knew this video was not it. Nope. Didn't even bother showing the fluff in the end cuz there is no fluff.

I cooked the brown rice using this method, and I am happy with the results. What I liked the most was how easy it was to cook. It did take longer than 30 min, but not a big deal. My husband and daughter liked it. Good bye white rice! Thank you, Jerry.
