Going to try that tonight! Thanks! BTW – if you don't like the albumen squeezing out (the white stuff) brine the filet for 10 minutes before cooking – glass bowl with 1/4 cup of so of salt, maybe even some lemon juice in there too for a little flavor. That helps to keep the white gunk INSIDE the fish where it belongs, because it breaks down some of the connective tissue near the surface!! Great video though…! LOVE my Instant Pot!!

You have a thin fillet there. What if your fillet is about 1-1/4" thick with the skin attached, should I leave it in my IP longer? My friend was in Alaska and brought me back some fresh caught flash frozen Salmon. I am an avid user of my instant pot. Should I simply leave my salmon in my IP longer but still using your recipe? I was also thinking of first cooking it in my IP then finishing it off in the over on "broil" on a buttered piece of foil coated with the seasoning they sent with it on each side to make it a bit crispy on the surfaces. Are you able to give me your opinion on this? I'm not as worried about heart healthy as I am having flavor. I don't eat like a wolf (LoL) so I am fairly thin to begin with, so a little bit of fat from butter I don't think is going to hurt me. My biggest desire, is I don't want to ruin a great catch of center cut salmon and I want the best flavor possible. I do not eat much fish, therefore I have little knowledge of how to cook it. I did watch some videos of baking it in the oven but I think my IP will fit in here somewhere? I make frozen Chicken legs in my IP as I've stated here. I put them in my IP for about six minutes, then broil them brushed with butter to make the skin and exposed meat crispy, and the chicken turns out super good. I don't eat like this but once a month or so, so like I said, I'd rather have the flavor and leave the chips fall where they may. This is not very important, however I did read where natural butter in small amounts like you'd glaze food with is not harmful unless you eat a lot of fat all the time which I don't. . BTW, very nice video and very informative.

You should not put the marinade that has had the raw fish in it , on top of your cooked food, unless you bring it to a boil. Just like you would not put your chicken in marinade and when it is cooked you pour the remaining (left over) marinated on top. salmonella

Only eat wild caught Alaskan salmon. Wild Atlantic salmon is endangered so all "Atlantic salmon" sold on the market today is farmed, primarily in Norway. The fish is five times more toxic than any other food tested, which is blamed on the industrial feed. DON'T EAT IT. If all you can afford is farmed salmon, just forego it and eat something else.
