I came to the same crossroads. I was addicted to Keto ice cream bars at Costco. I made Keto cheesecakes. Finally, I got tired of all of it. I came to want to where I was a year ago. I am 79 years old.I have gone from size 1X to a M, size 11/12. I want to get the fatty lumps gone. Thanks for all truth. Much Aloha

Like you said, I’m so sorry that the Ketogenic lifestyle wasn’t around when I was younger. I’m so glad I found it now. So many of my work colleges are suffering because they’re on regular diets. Thanks and take care 🙃

I am watching my net carbs, but am on a caloric deficit and do not eat all the fluff. I am keeping it simple and am working out four days a week. Currently, at 32lbs and feel amazing. No brownies, no "keto" ice cream, no "keto" breads. I go through a lot of clean fats like fish and avocado, plus lots of veggies within my macros. I also weigh everything. Is it work? Yes! However, being overweight is harder.

I’ve been on keto for 4 months. I’ve lost 13 lbs. I have been going down the rabbit whole if the net carbs keto cookies snacks etc. So I’m going to clean it up and do total carbs with clean eating starting tomorrow. Thanks so much for your videos. They really help!!! 😘

High fat low carb = less food/ calorie intake . I am not hungry when I eat bacon and eggs. I loose weight when I eat meat and fat I’m full and happy . Carbs/sugar are bad, healthy fats will keep you satiated and full but sometimes food can be like a drug and it’s just a habit and you have to deny yourself

You are so honest!! You are also young!! I started what was called the "low carb diet" back in college in early 1970s! It worked great then. Now I here all this about "net carbs" and I think I'm not sure about this! Not only is it more complicated, but I didn't feel convinced about it! I also have never felt good about artificial sweeteners. Thanks so much for this video!! I really think the old low carb diet is the best, or now maybe the carnivore diet! Appreciate you so much! Best of luck to you!! 😀

You are so right! I've made the same mistakes because I have the same old addictions. As keto goes more and more mainstream, I think more products will be geared toward people who have lost weight and can afford to eat this way. OR the big food companies will try to bait us more and more because they don't make money if we eat whole foods instead of buying their products. I appreciate your honesty.

I just had this revelation also. I got off my medication for depression and I’m changing my diet to more Whole Foods. The energy that I’ve gotten back is crazy! I thought this is me tired all the time. I actually have motivation again. You really are what you put into your body💕

I recently went back to keto and it’s really hard but every time I have anxiety or want to stop I think about how good I felt one year ago that gives me the strength to continue.

Folks have forgotten that the best way to health has always been shop the edges of the grocery store, meaning fresh meats, fish, vegetables and fruits. Keto just nixes most of the fruits. Eating the edges of the store keeps it simple. No convenience foods, no desserts, add a bit of dairy in cheese and heavy cream (also edge of the store). Eating "keto" desserts keeps you in the dessert mindset, eating for pleasure rather than eating to live well and putting additives into the mix. Anything that is not meat, fish or vegetables has potential to become a problem on keto, IMO. It's a real trap. Danielle, no matter what you weigh, you have always been a beautiful woman. ~Cynthia

Great video! I lost alot of weight on keto! Gained some back during 2020 but back on the trail again lol. I agree all those cheesy recipes and processed snacks really will hinder your success. The only time I had treats and it didn’t affect was when i used almond flour and coconut flour for a mugcake. And i still counted total carbs for that! Net carbs never worked for me at ALL! But kudos to the lucky ones that it does work for!

OMG! You go girl!! Such a great video! You are so right! I think that if you have been on Keto long enough, you go through stages. At first the high fat is ok, you can still loose weight because you have so much weight to loose. Then the closer that you get to your goal weight, the harder it is to loose it, and you really need to buckle down and push away from the "Keto treats" I am about 40 or so pounds from my goal weight. I have just started PSMF. It was a natural progression for me that I needed to lower my calories, fat, started counting total carbs, and raised my protein in order to continue to loose weight. I have been on Keto for 3 1/2 years. My starting weight was 365 pounds. I am now down to 184 pounds….the math…..I have lost 181 pounds! I have been through the different stages of keto with you! Thanks for putting it all out there Daniela, it has really helped me along the way!

This is exactly what my husband and I were talking about last night. He was looking up Keto recipes on Tiktok. All these tiktokers making hiiiigh fat, zero nutrient “Keto food.” I said, nah I’ll stick to the veggies and meat. Brownies and cookies are trigger foods for me, so I cannot carefully, responsibly eat them…right now.

No matter what diet that you are on… whether Keto, Mediterranean or Vegan!! There has to be a calorie deficit period! You just have to choose what diet you want to be on… live with that'll get you where you want to be! Either way you're going to have to be at a calorie deficit bottom line no matter what diet you choose. I decided to go WFPB because Keto was just not doing it for me!… And I have to think about my health for the long haul. 'Game Changer' the movie was a game changer for me! You have to do what's best for your health in the long run. I still like watching Daniel cause she's a Chi girl like me and I support her and her family!!… as well as her goals. 😘❤🙏

Ok I'm going to dare to ask your opinion about keto chow. Is there any possible way it can be healthy using butter oil or heavy whipping cream. I'd love to just live on it. But I can hardly see that it Is healthy at all. Plus it's over, $7 a meal and I have $200 a month for food and necessities. Thanks always for everything you share with us.

Yes, you’ll lose a lot of weight at first if the person has a lot of weight to lose! Water weight, inflammation drop FAST on keto even if this person is sticking to net carbs or doing the keto-fying. And good for them! But there will need to be a change along the way! Calorie deficit, focusing on meat and veggies, steering clear from the seed oils and sugar alcohols and possibly the dairy. It all comes across us who are trying to drop weight and feel healthier from the inside out at one point or another on the keto journey because being in ketosis is you body using your own fat as energy NOT the fat or sugar you put into it to lose weight and inflammation. Want to have progress on keto? Stay away from TikTok and Instagram influencers promoting indulgence as weight loss. Not gonna work.
