I eat a lot of potatoes, too, but I can't do potatoes 3 meals a day. How do you keep from getting bored? Do you ever season them? Could you share some of your potato recipes?

A few years ago, you would never have thought about letting warm potatoes help offset home heating on April 2nd, huh? I'm reminding you of TEXAS and what a difference the two climates are… like two different planets, huh?! LOL

Congratulations to you for sticking with your Potato Diet sir! I used to feel extra special when we had potatoes to feed our family of 10 including my parents. I was the chief cook and bottle washer because I was the eldest daughter in our family! I loved my title most of the time 👍

There's actually a diet called potatogenic diet. I started out with keto, but overtime I evolved and don't follow it anymore. Nutrient quality and intermittent fasting is what I concentrate on.

Refrigerating is a very good idea. With starch like rice and potato, I cool them overnight to increase resistant starch content, which also help reduce the glycemic effect. The gut microbes use the resistant starch to make butyrate which is good for gut health.

Wow, that's good for you! I never have liked potatoes, so I would probably starve on that diet. Have lost all the weight I needed to on Keto type diet eating my favorite foods. Blood work is fantastic, feel great and happy to enjoy eating! Thanks for posting your experience!

I lost 106 lbs last year. Ketogenic way of eating. It's high in good whole foods like eggs, cheese, fatty cuts of meats, plenty of vegetable salads, Brussels sprouts, green beans cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, avocados, lemons, limes with virtually no white flour and white sugar. Lab results were great. No more insulin resistence or hyperinsulinemia. No diabetes type 2.

Wow, this goes against everything I have learned about health and weight loss! I have followed a controlled-carb plan, Somersize, since 2001. I lost all the weight I wanted within the first year or two, and AVOIDED things like potatoes! I ate all the fat and protein I wanted. We NEED fat. It is essential for healthy cell reproduction! You should read the Somersize weight loss books, and also Dr. Schwarzbein's book where she explains the need for fat in our diet. My weight loss story has been online for years, just look up Cindybin Somersize and you should be able to find a link.
