Joey, i am just getting started using the cronometer app. i started with entering some basic recipies i make often but im stuggling to figure out the quirks in this app. one recipie i did was my hummus. Where i had a issue is when adding the 15.5 oz can of no salt garbonzo beans {depending on which brand i picked as mine wasnt listed) the calorie count spanned a range anywhere from 200 to 700 for the same amount of beans. im sure you must have run into this. The label on the can list the calories as 315 but on cronometer when i choose "garbanzo beans, chickpeas.canned, drained low sodium" for 15.5 oz it gives me 611 cal. Whats the secret?

Joey, just wanted to let you know you have really been an inspiration to me. Your tips are great. I am doing the first four tips you suggest but the fifth tip you gave is something I’m going to start incorporating since I basically know what I plan on eating usually for the next day. I think this will help me stay on track. I have increased my protein, and my muscle mass. It has been slow but steady. Thank you and you look fabulous.

You look amazing Joey, woohoo 🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉
I also was doing starch solution and switched over to WW (but I did my plant based way of eating) in January 2022, I lost 24 lbs within 7 months and at goal and have kept it off since… what have I done different I watch points, added the protein powder you use, I watched the amount of carbs, even complex carbs . I added some olive oil, I bought a Fitbit, and walking over 10k steps daily and I make sure I walk at least 30 min a day in the early morning sunlight, and stopped eating after dinner. I’m so proud that I did this at age 72
Keep up the good work, I knew when you switched it up you were going to do great….

You don’t look 60. Maybe 42. I know for me just trying to put these different vegan recipes in Chronometer is frustrating. Especially when I’m trying to cut these recipes in half because I’m the only one in my family that eats plant based. I’m still trying to do the 50/50 plate and in the morning I’m just trying to eat melon or some sort of fruit. I have severe ankylosing spondylitis and some of the research I did was saying that there was some success with plant based, Mediterranean, or something called London ( no starch, dairy, red meat, gluten, grains.) Not sure that I could do that.

Good to hear your new routine is working for you! Can you tell me how you know your muscle gain is because of consuming more protein and not solely due to your new exercise routine?

You are doing fantastic! I finally bought a bag of TVP and soy curls to try out. Made the taco 🌮 mix. I’m using a high fiber tortilla (Ole Mexican brand) (11 gm fiber, 1.5 gm fat). Smear on no fat refried beans, taco mix and lettuce. Delicious. Next, I’m going to try soy curls. Looking forward to your video on how you use them. Take care.

Great job Joey! You are very inspirational. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for the tips. I’m following you on this journey. I’m down about the same as you. I’m using Cronometer (you sent me your recipes, thanks). I keep a log at the gym. I use a Fitbit that is linked to Cronometer to track my walks and time at the gym. Be well.

You don't look a day over 49. End of March when I started I was 156.6 and today I am 144.4, a 12 pound weight loss. My goal is 136, so I'm getting close. I'm feeling incredible, no hunger anymore. My energy is up. And the tip on planning what you are eating the next day on cronometer is a game changer. I do the same thing.

Joey, you look fantastic! Way to go!
Where do I send you my email address to be added to Cronometer? I’m following your lead and have just hired a trainer. Making your meals and knowing exactly how many macros are in each thing, would be a huge help. Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us and congrats on your success 👏
