I wanted to stay home with my kids but also contribute to the household financially. I started doing home daycare. I got registered with the state so I could also be registered with a local food program that reimbursed you for part of the money you spent on food for the kids. I made good money, my kids always had others to play with and they also always had mom there with them. It was a win/win.

So glad you joined youtube, I love your videos and your personality.
My 'side hustle' as SAHM is I translate, mostly novels currently. I don't make a lot, just enough to pay the upkeep on our 2nd car and keep up with my student loans.

I love your content, especially the food pantry hauls and how you utilize what you get! I think it is especially helpful for those who aren't sure how to use what they get because you cone up with such creative uses for it.
That is what keeps me watching your videos, and I'm sure other viewers have different preferences. So please keep up the amazing work you do and I'll continue to save your videos to refer back to when I need recipes I watched you make. You give great tips as you go along that help immensely as well! 🥰
Your strong advice about the stigma of accessing food pantries is spot on. My partner and I are both retired and living on social security, so when food prices started soaring we were struggling! 😬😖 We already garden, cook from scratch a LOT, and live frugally as much as possible. We were really looking at a bleak future for healthy yet tasty meals.
At about that time, a granddaughter graduated high school and moved in with her boyfriend. They were struggling as well, so I encouraged her to go to her lical food pantry, but she kind of shied away from the idea. I finally was able to convince her by going myself and having her meet me there. She was shocked and amazed by what she received.
And so was I. Her food pantry was quite a distance from me, so I googled food pantries near me. I found one in my town, but you could only go once a week, and they really didn't have much. But I also found one in a nearby town that has one that covers my entire county.
    What a difference!! 👏🤩
We can go Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday and choose whatever is available in the form of bakery and produce. It's all donated by local stores and restaurants. Once a month we can choose from whatever they have available in what they call commodities (with limits of course).
But after a few visits, we determined they give us SO MUCH that we only go once a month!! It's AMAZING!! 🌟🤗
BUT . . . my patrner in the beginning was not in board with the idea, he felt the stigma you refer to, that "we're not THAT desperate, others NEED it more than us".
Right about then is when I ran across your videos . . . and I convinced him to watch a couple. What yoy said TOTALLY convinced him!! 👏😁👍
I'm SO grateful for your videos for educating him to how the food pantry works and that this food would be thrown away if people don't take it. 💖🥰
We had trouble at first finding space in our freezer for all the meat and frozen veggies we received, but learned to share with others when we didn't have space. And to only go once a month.
But now we're no longer worried about food insecurity! Thank you SO much for what your videos helped us with! 🎉🥳🎊
    Keep up the good work!

I use to work on and off I was recently working in home health doing light work/housekeeping. I lost my babysitter and hadn’t been able to work since I do have four kiddos n it’s hard to try and work. I feel like nobody really talks about how hard it is to be a mom and trying to work or find a income somehow. It’s been a struggle for real. I thought about trying to start a channel on walkthroughs n grocery hauls. Also investing in the Amazon pallets or reselling stuff . Anything at this point to find some income. I think your doing great I can tell your channel has grown also since I been on here

You have worked hard to accomplish your goals and pray God will reward you with the homestead of your dreams. You certainly are not afraid of hard work so just keep working toward that goal if we don't have one we accomplish nothing.

My husband and I looked at the financial side of me staying home with the kids. At the time, daycare was $7 an hour (cheap, right?) and I was making $7.50 an hour. Well, if you do the math, I really was only making 50 cents an hour. That would pay for the gas to get to work. Dumb. So, I quit working. My son, who is Autistic, really blossomed while I stayed home with him. My daughter really got to see what parenting was all about. To me, the time I got to spend at home with my kids was well worth it! I encourage people to do the math. If you have kids and need to utilize daycare to work, how much are you really spending??? Is it worth it? Just my opinion.

I'm starting to video my cooking in the kitchen and I am getting used to a new video editor and doing voiceovers. My kitchen just isn't big enough to move a tripod around multiple times. Plus, I need to clean the other half and stay on top of the cleaning so I CAN make videos.

I had no idea of all that…… good to get to know people better and what it takes. Me I am still doing my 9-5 and usually a video everyday. I get the deal of sometimes its hard to come up with content and doing all that goes behind a video. I started my channel as people would always say you do this and that you should have a channel. Mine is NOT anywhere near yours and I make hardly any money at all since November when I became monetized, but its good to meet some new people. For the most part all the people that I get messages from are very nice and friendly which makes all the difference in the world! Thanks for the video have a great day!
