I have been eating this way but fail every now and then. I am feeling bloated and starting to feel pain on my stomach. Last night I was so gassy but can't remember what I ate. I will start a journal for some help. I love beans, rice and potatoes not a picky eaters. This video has a lot of information. Thank you.

This is so me, 5 years and still hurting on a WFPB diet. I know it is the right way to eat but my gut was so damaged. The green juicing is slowly working I think. TY SOOOOO much for telling me about it. So much love to you.

Thanks so much for addressing this issue. I suffered a lot with gas and bloating in the beginning, but the more I stick with it the less I have…also in the beginning I used Beano before eating (the Equate brand capsules..not the chalky chewable one ) The chalky ones didn't work well, but the capsules do. Now when I forget to take the capsules and have eaten something that normally would give me bad gas …like beans…I realize that I hardly have any gas, so think I will soon be able to avoid Beano all together. As always…great information Stasia. Thank you.

I agree with Rebeccawifeof1motherof4! I too think overeating might cause bloating. I do intermittent fasting which has been great and helped me lose my last 5 pounds. However, since I hold off eating until anywhere between 10 and noon, by the time I eat I am quite hungry and eat a lot. And before IF I didn't really have any issues. I am going to be mindful of overeating and see if I can control my issues, and also I will incorporate some of your wonderful suggestions!!!

I agree with soaking and cooking process of beans, so helpful. I think overeating is another cause for bloating and gas. A great book by Will Bulsiewicz "Fiber Fueled" is a great resource. I read it and then listened to the audio. Great video…thanks!

I've been vegetarian for my whole life…I WAS eating lots of dairy.
Now, I've been WFPB/SS for 2 months. I went from feeling amazing, losing 6 lbs the first month to gaining it ALL back and I'm freaking out. And no, I'm not eating any fat!!! I'm so bloated and just "soft" like, squishy. My whole body is so very puffy and soft. Clothes super tight. WTF??? I truly hope this goes away soon!! I didn't want to count calories but I might need to, I don't know what is happening to me. Did anyone else gain at first???

Thank you, thank you thank you for this video! I definitely have a compromised gut due to breast cancer treatment and chronic nausea. I keep on trying big salads and the gas I have is literally painful.

Your video was timely! I know some days my gas elimination is excessive. I love beans and rice so I'm tolerating the result. I have a harder time eating potatoes and sweet potatoes and I don't know why. It's not like I ever avoided them.

I do know when I stopped drinking carbonated water, I saw how the bubbles caused distress. It did help me to eliminate soda and that was why I consumed it. Artificial sweetener in my water in the mornings adds to it too, but I'm not ready to give that up. I drink only plain water after about 2pm so baby steps it is for me to eliminate that gas bloating item. I'm not giving up beans and rice though. I have tried soaking and slow cooking beans. I'll give that prep idea another chance. Thanks for the video. Made me smile.

Great tips! I’ve dabbled in the plant based world for years now but just the last past 6 months have I really stuck to it. I’ve definitely experienced the gas and bloating. I still get it with certain foods (chick peas, I’m talking to you;) so I have to be careful but your video gives me hope that eventually I will be free of most of those symptoms!!
