With the Fourth of July coming up I decided to do a Hot Dog experiment cooking them in Duck Fat, Bacon Fat and Ghee.

Interesting experiment. I was really interested in how the duck fat would taste. I had no doubt the bacon would be good. The ghee I am surprised at. I make my own ghee butter once in a while. But that ghee butter made me raise an eyebrow. It looked very liquidy. Ghee should be a soft solid.

Great dog comparison video! Bacon fat is my personal favorite. If you are looking for a great tasting alternative, I've put Worcestershire sauce on Sabrett dogs and then grill cooked them. They taste incredibly rich and delicious almost as if their was more savory flavor in the meat. I always compliment them with mustard, onions, and relish.

Favorite dog is from a place called Doris Italian Market. They make their own (all beef). Closest for you would probably be in Hollyweird. You're down in the Kendall area ? yes?

A Sabretts dirty water dog is the best. When my wife goes home to Jersey she brings me home a foodservice case. My favorite everyday dog are Koegels Frankfurters and my Detroit coney beef👍🏼🇺🇸🍻 excellent comparative.

Good comparison video Mike. I'm a kunzler hotdog fan, like putting 2 strips of bacon on a bun with a slice of white american cheese and some mustard and mayo. I know mayo sounds gross on a hotdog but I love it. lol. Hope you and your family have a wonderful 4th of July brother, take care!
