Hoping you and your family had a nice Thanksgiving Day. Please don’t judge me anyone, I grew up since the 1960’s having my French toast with American cheese and salt. Three pieces of bread sacked with each one having cheese on it and salt on the top one. So good.😃

I grew up with both savory and sweet… Often, once the savory was finished we used it to make sandwiches. Sweet was generally weekend breakfast/brunches. Savory was generally for lunches and suppers. Thanks for sharing. (Monte Cristo sandwiches?)

here in england,we call it gypsy toast or eggy bread,,french toast is with added cinamon etc,which we rearly eat ,we just prefer it with salt n pepper xx
