100% Italian here and I never use dry herbs in any of my tomato sauces. Parsley is good with ricotta cheese though.
I love nutmeg and parsley in my cheese

I’m having a hard time with raw yellow onion in the sauce and am wondering why it’s not cooked? That onion in particular is harsh to me and used to give me a sick stomach so I no longer use it. Don’t want to make a batch yet, till I am reassured on this onion issue. Thank you kindly 😊

Oh my Goodness, Mary. These look SO GOOD! I'm going to have to make these for my family but I need to first figure out how many Weight Watchers points these are because I'm trying to lose weight. What I'll do is figure that out and then plan when to make them so I can work them into my daily point consumption without going too far over, because I KNOW I will not be satisfied with just 1 stuffed shell. It'll be 2 (or maybe 3) for sure. Just have to make a plan and then "bon appetit"! I am drooling and can't wait.

I was trying to think of everything we eat regularly, except junk food, that isn't in my long term rotation of food. Fresh milk and fresh eggs are what comes to mind, but a barter system with neighbors would take care of that. Cheese would run out in a month or so, but that is something we can live with. We might not have the most adventurous of diets, but I'm pretty sure we could fall back on our childhood learning and go indefinitely, if no one bothered us. Long term salt would be something we would need to find. I guess growing up poor as Job's turkey had it's benefits ☺️

Mary, in the printed recipe on your website, you put 1 pint of crushed tomatoes , you used 3 in your video. Did you mean 3 in the printed recipe, because you put 2 cups in the bottom of the dish? Plus, I do realize you had a lot left over. Your stuffed shells look beautiful, I also realize you didn't ''drown'' them in sauce, which I love as well, I don't like too much sauce!

Looks delicious. Will try fixing this for Daniel and I since Lee doesn't like the texture of tomatoes. This is a rough time of the year for me as tomorrow is the anniversary of when my father died and Valentine's Day is when his funeral was that year. On the plus side my sister's and my first love Justin's birthdays are later this month. Sis is my best friend. I will a!ways be thankful to Justin. He is the reason my daily nightmares changed to sweet dreams but since we ended up with other people been having a lot of non starts where nothing happens. Technically Lee should inspire some and the lovely bachelors in the farming video games I play and in the books I read should inspire the rest. Unfortunately they don't.
