Hey John i tried this recipe and it is amazing though i could not make the glaze because i did not have powdered sugar. But i recommend adding more sugar to the people that won't be able to make the icing glaze. I kinda put a little over of the yeast but it was okay it raised and it was amazing.

STUPID Question here 👋 I’m an inexperienced baker but I know that exact measurements are important. If I need to double the donut amount , do I just double all the ingredients exactly? So 4 packets of yeast in 2 cups of milk, double the flour, etc…. Sorry!
Please keep listening ingredients at the beginning of the video. I couldn't tell you how many times I got halfway through recipe and realized it and have something. 😂😂😂
Raised glazed are my favorite doughnuts. I’m in a Krispy Kreme city and if you go in when the window sign says “Hot Now” it means they’re fresh out of the fryer and the glaze waterfall. (Hundreds of doughnuts are made from start to finish on an amazing automated production line). To make matters worse they reach into the conveyor with a straw and hand you one right off the line. Which only causes you to order two or three dozen doughnuts because they’re so freaking good.
Butter Explo: Yep, been there, done that…Zero clean-up fun! 🙂 Shame on you for putting this particular recipe out right when I was motivating to get rid of the last of my sat-around-too-much pounds! Who doesn't adore warm raised-donuts? Ugh…Perhaps stuff like Meat Pies, Healthful Tacos, After-Homeschool Snacks? Naaa…Time to make the donuts! 😀
You don’t ever want your butter to explode. I learned this the hard way when I accidentally exploded some butter in the microwave. My microwave was literally covered in greasy butter and it was so disgusting to clean up. My microwave still kinda smells like butter 😭
I like the method you mentioned of the window in order to check when the dough is done! Could it be applied for pizza dough too?

you can melt butter on defrost setting in microwave with out it explodeing, ( Wish I knew before would of saved a lot of clean up )
Can you omit the salt and use Splenda on place of the sugar? I'm a heart failure patient and a diabetic patient.
To prevent dough from drying on top while proofing just wet the reusable towel.

You used instant yeast not active dry yeast.
