This is the best video that I have seen about making ghee and I have watched many. Very straightforward, understandable, and delivers an excellent final product. Thank you. I think that I'll subscribe.

Forget the timer. I don't have an induction plate so I use my griddle on 250. Use a thermometer, since water boils at 212 you will see the butter stays there until the water is almost gone, when the temperature starts to go up you know the water is gone. I usually let it go to 230 just to make sure and that won't burn the ghee. Works great!

I have a question for you… I have started to make my ghee several months ago after a video on YouTube. The lady said that it must be kept IN the cupboard or any dark place as it does not support light. I would appreciate your opinion on that matter.

For centuries every foreigner ( and even some clownish Indians ) condemned . criticized , joked , laughed , derided , insulted , trashed etc etc about everything Indian . Now you are selling Indian ideas as good ! My ancestors have been making , using , relishing this product for ever without a video clip showing them how to make it . This is a joke indeed .

Is it normal for the ghee to separate into liquid and solid form at room temperature? I have seen many ghee bottles at indian store which are separated but mine home made never separates.

I learnt making ghee from my MIL who is an expert on the subject cause she makes homemade butter and then ghee from it, and her advise is that once butter has melted in the pan, absolutely don't mess with it. Just let it cook till the splutter sound stops. Straight forward simple steps..never gone wrong with it.
