A staple cleaner in my house along with baking soda, between the two you can replace nearly all store bought cleansers. (Organic lemons, don't want pesticides in your cleaner.) BTW baking soda can replace deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo…)

When I make candied lemon peel, the first step is to boil the peels to reduce bitterness, at least once but sometimes more times, before boiling in sugar syrup. I keep the first boiled lemon water and mix 1:1 ratio with white vinegar to make the same cleaner. I do the same thing when making any candied citrus peels, especially pink grapefruit!

I have been making this for years and love that it is something so simple and useful! I have added cloves in the Fall for a little extra Fall scent. Love all your little tips and tricks. I bet it would make an interesting cocktail!! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I save mayo plastic tops for these jars to avoid touching the metal rims. Thanks for sharing this with all of us.

I'm surprised you didn't zest the lemons before you put them into the vinegar. I know the zest contains the oils you are after but surely the there is enough left after zesting. I love watching you. Such energy.

This is brilliant, I would add that I zest the lemons before juicing and dehydrate the zest. I then powder it and use it in my seasoning, it's so yummy! Then that's 4 uses!, juice, zest, cleaner and compost..

I make homemade vinegar with orange peels, sugar, water and vinegar. Once it has turned into vinegar, I filter out the orange peels. Then I fill a spray bottle with the homemade vinegar, lemon juice, water and dish detergent. I've also done this with homemade apple cider vinegar.

I have just started watching and ENJOYING your channel so much! You are amazing and SO full of energy! I'm not as young as you are anymore, but I am so inspired watching your videos. Whenever I watch your channel, I am reminded of a piece of music entitled Sabre Dance by Aram Khachaturian. Best regards.
