A staple cleaner in my house along with baking soda, between the two you can replace nearly all store bought cleansers. (Organic lemons, don't want pesticides in your cleaner.) BTW baking soda can replace deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo…)

When I make candied lemon peel, the first step is to boil the peels to reduce bitterness, at least once but sometimes more times, before boiling in sugar syrup. I keep the first boiled lemon water and mix 1:1 ratio with white vinegar to make the same cleaner. I do the same thing when making any candied citrus peels, especially pink grapefruit!
This is great, thank you! I have orange trees and can't use all the oranges. Never thought of making my own cleaner, bit I will now
What a great idea! The lemon scented cleaning sprays are my girlfriends favorite, I can't wait to show her this trick so we can make our own endless cleaner. ๐
I have been making this for years and love that it is something so simple and useful! I have added cloves in the Fall for a little extra Fall scent. Love all your little tips and tricks. I bet it would make an interesting cocktail!! ๐ I save mayo plastic tops for these jars to avoid touching the metal rims. Thanks for sharing this with all of us.
Just tossed an empty spray bottle in the recycle bin, about to go grab it back out!!! I love love watching ur videos!!!
I've been doing this for awhile and love it.. I've always cleaned with vinegar but the lemon added is just so nice๐
I am wondering what percentage you vinegar is. Here in Norway we have 7% and 35%.
I like your channel. Wish I had a garden to plant vegetables and so.
Hi im your new subscriber from the pjilippines… i really love watching your vblog… please keep.sharing, esp. Vegetables planting and what have not…also , can you show us on how you make your sausages? More of your frozen meals… thanks and more vblogging๐๐
I'm surprised you didn't zest the lemons before you put them into the vinegar. I know the zest contains the oils you are after but surely the there is enough left after zesting. I love watching you. Such energy.
This is brilliant, I would add that I zest the lemons before juicing and dehydrate the zest. I then powder it and use it in my seasoning, it's so yummy! Then that's 4 uses!, juice, zest, cleaner and compost..
Hi Becky! New subscriber here as of today. Found your channel from freezer meal search and I am delighted to discover your gardening and preserving of foods from canning and dehydration which is what I want to learn also. Thank you for taking the time to create these videos in your already busy lifeโฆI live in the city but these are methods I have postponed due to pandemic and working crazy hours. Take care and be safe! Thanks for being an inspiration! Looking forward to watching more videos.
I canโt believe how much u remind me of Claire Saffitz! ๐๐๐
I made this this year. I didn't add any water with it, though. I've only used it once so I guess I better put some water in it now!
Thank you so much Iโm so going to start doing this with my lemon ๐ rinds
I make homemade vinegar with orange peels, sugar, water and vinegar. Once it has turned into vinegar, I filter out the orange peels. Then I fill a spray bottle with the homemade vinegar, lemon juice, water and dish detergent. I've also done this with homemade apple cider vinegar.
Becky, check your season salt recipe. It says, โ3 tablespoons of this taco season mixโฆโ. Sorry, I read contracts a lot!
Fantastic ๐๐๐งก๐๐๐งก
I do that too. Love it. Cleaning with it gets that fish smell out of the house.
If you have a garbage disposal, shove those old rinds down there and grind them to clean it, too. I always put lime rinds from gin and tonics down! My disposal is very fresh! ๐
I LOVE drinking lemon water, and using lemons in tea. But I find I donโt go through the โbulkโ bag fast enough (esp in winter), what are other ways you use them? I
Thanks for doing such a great job with this channel! My wife and I really enjoy everything you do with your homestead. Great job with the cleaner idea! We appreciate you and your hard work in making these videos and all the time it takes you to edit them! Take care and may God overwhelm you with blessings!
I have just started watching and ENJOYING your channel so much! You are amazing and SO full of energy! I'm not as young as you are anymore, but I am so inspired watching your videos. Whenever I watch your channel, I am reminded of a piece of music entitled Sabre Dance by Aram Khachaturian. Best regards.
I love the smell of lemons โบ๏ธ I think it's great to have a safe cleaner for the family and environment. Great video ๐
Thank you! I'm going to do this from now on!!!
Can I ask if the cleaner has a sticky residue ?
Make some Limoncello with some of those lemons.
