Found your channel today while looking up how to check thermometers. Found it very useful. I love cooking and learning new flavors and techniques. Mostly Iām bbqing but anyway to cook is great. Thank You for the info.
If you havenāt got a pressure cooker and an air fryer but you do have a waffle iron they work great as well. Brush lightly with bacon grease, add grated seasoned potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes. They are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. We all have an old waffle iron we hardly use in the back of the cupboard some where.
Thanks for not giving up. Was that 4 days? I thought I counted 3 days and then there was, an ideally other day, which makes this the longest potato recipe I've encountered short of vodka.
These must be like a dream come true for you Louise …you finally did it…and they look amazing. Thanks for all you do to make all these great recipes for us
Have you ever scored your potatoes around the middle prior to cooking so that the skin just peeled off like being degloved? Years ago I saw someone prepping a bunch of potatoes for hash browns and they were able to slide the skins off. I have no idea how they achieved that tho. Love your videos! Thank you! ā¤ļøā¤ļø April
Oh my goodness; this is going to be a game changer for me. I'll be puttin' on 10, maybe 15 pounds, haha. But seriously, I've watched so many videos on homemade hash browns. The technique was always so labor-intensive that I gave up and bought frozen hash browns at Aldi. I can't wait to try this!
i used to make them in the Tupperware hamburger thingies. now i use shape and store hamburger thingies. or i use a silicone mat and put a little space around the sizes i want them freeze.
Hi Louise. If I wanted to do a latke flavor with grated onion, how much onion would you suggest I add, when would I add the onion, and would I need to increase the cornstarch due to the moisture from the grated onion?
Thanks, Louise. These hash browns are my husbandās favorite thing about Mc D breakfast. Due to recent health issues, heās had to give up eating at Mc D and he was just saying how much he missed the hash browns. Your timing with this recipe is perfect because know I can make them and control is portion size. Thanks so very much.
It's been my experience that if you don't squeeze out the moisture in the potatoes, they will never brown properly. I usually use the Yukon Gold.
What temperature would you recommend for an air fryer that is part of an oven?
I'm going to try this, but if you're going to peel them it seems to me it's easier to pell when raw.
Would cold water bath work in a hurry to cool potatoes? I also saw to rinse multiple times to remove starch.. your way is sooo much easier š„°
Dogshite is better than McDonalds
I too have been trying to make these for a very long time. I am going to give this a try. Thank you.
I'm not sure yet what I enjoy more about your videos, the food, or your reaction to the food lol.
Always a pleasure watching your videos!
No poking the potatoes before going into the pressure cooker? (can you tell I microwave mine š¤£)
This is a winner of a recipe for sure
Great job Louise
Wrinkle that parchment paper up in a ball, spread out and than place in your pan. It is so much easier to deal with.
Thanks, but looks like a lot of work to me.

I have a question, would it be safer to put the potatoes in a ice bath after coming out of the pressure cooker to prevent botulism.
YUM! I can't wait to make these in my Foodi! Thanks Louise!
They look tremendous Louise
