A classic soup that was made in the Hobo camps across the U.S. as those whoย rode the railsย became a part of the history of America. Hobo Soup was typically made with a random array of ingredients provided from those gathering around the soup caldron, which may have consisted of whatever was found in gardens and was given to the Hobo from kitchens as they came upon those willing to provide food for the camp. Today, some of the commercially produced Hobo Soups contain ingredients that were commonly a part of the traditional soups when they were made in Hobo camps. Ingredients such as navy beans, carrots, celery, onions, potatoes, sweet peppers, tomatoes, turnips, and herbs were all common elements cooked into the legendary Hobo Soup.

Looks good. I have a electric pressure cooker from qvc cooks essential. Except does not have the Browning so I have to brown meat separate. Should have gotten one with browner.

This looks great! My mother insisted on getting me one of these cookers for Christmas and I just used it this week ( I made Chicken Alfredo) for the first time and I think I'm in love. I was hoping to find a nice, simple soup recipe since it has been kinda could this week. Can't wait to try this over the weekend, thanks!

when I pressure cook soups like that, including pasta (whole wheat kind) I use high pressure and just 2 minutes. Everything is cooked, hot, and tasty. Whenever I've cooked pasta more than the 2 minutes on high, it's been too mushy.

We have the 10 Quart and we love it!! I have made several of you're dishes in it! Starting with the Golden mushroom pork chops! OMG! Amazing! The time was lesser with this Power pressure cooker though. We have had ours for almost a year. LOVE LOVE IT!! You're dishes work really great with this pressure cooker, just have to remember to adjust the timing for the kind of pressure cooker you use. This is our first pressure cooker. <3
