When I run cold water over my eggs, I cram the shells so the watcher gets between the shell and the think membrane. They slip right off. I’ve never had issues peeling our farm fresh eggs or store bought with this method.

Our chicken eggs are fresh too! I boil them and put them in cold water with ice for a few minutes but crack a hole in the shell before hand. Then I take a spoon and run it under the membrane and shell and it comes off it large pieces, sometimes i can get it off it two-three pieces. 🙂 great video!

Fool proof hard boiled egg tip I picked up from another YouTube video. Bring the water to a boil and then gently add the eggs. Boil for 15 minutes. Drain hot water; soak eggs in cold water before peeling. The shell comes off clean every time. No fuss or muss.

When I put boiled eggs in cold water, I add a couple ice cubes. Make sure they're in one layer in a flat bottomed pot with a lid and shimmy them like bumper cars in the water. Side to side, front to back and couple diagonal shimmys, works your abs, lol! Some of them will lose the shell on their own. And then the rest will just slip out. I've done it with store bought and farm fresh eggs. Works for both.

We have fresh eggs as well a tip to get the shell off without taking the egg white with it is to allow the eggs to cool 5mins then peel under warm water while the eggs are still warm, the cold water makes the shell stick to egg white hence the peeled egg white and only the yoke looks normal. 😊

Hi Laura! These meals look wonderful! For some reason, I always forget to put grapes in chicken salad, definitely going to remember that! As for the fresh eggs, we have fresh, and I can NEVER get them to peel nicely, but the ones from the store do fine, so I definitely agree it’s a ‘new (fresh) egg issue! Thanks for sharing all these yummy ideas! Hugs~~Chelle
