I'm surprised you don't soak barley for 8-12 hours, reduces anti nutrient content, easy on digestion. It's what we do in Scotland atleast.
I believe barley is real expensive. Prob more than oatmeal n short grain brown rice

Love beef stew but water and mushrooms tends to look the same on the way out and make stool looser. So can be a bit messy lol I prefer a controlled hard but smooth and dry.
I literally just made that this week using one of your Tri-tip cuts. (It was too cold out to grille)
