Maybe you could use an immersion/stick blender to get it to the right thickness instead of taking some out and putting it in a food processor?

Can i use canned chickpeas for this?
We in India also cook Chikpeas. It is called 'CHOLE'. It is served with flat Indian bread called' KULCHA'. It is most popular street food in New Delhi, perhaps as iconic as 'HOT DOG' in New York.

The vitamins from the carrots are not on the skin. The carotene which is a form of Vitamin A is that orange stuff throughout the carrot. Don't say ridiculous things like that!

Carrots are indian vegetables, chickpeas as well, many varieties of chickpeas in india with 100s of different ways to cook, got long way to go for lieing cheating so called west, pepper is indian frying onions and garlic is asiatic method, which you learnt from us, your diet was animals and its offals, till greeks and romans was civilised and culturalised by egyptians, where you went to plunder the wealth and agriculture produce, the bread was invented in egypt so was beer.
Indian food receipes stolen and digested as greek, how much the west will lie and plunder, still savaging the world, greek foods are asiatic influenced, ingrediats are aduans.
