My mom made this on the stove, 1 whole chicken cut up so 8 pieces. 1 cup ketchup & 1 cup of coke season with salt and pepper and put lid on cook till done . ( stir and move pieces around till all chicken is covered and done , this way sauce is thick not watery. I've never seen it done any other way.

Grandma:  This recipe is so good and you are so hot!  The next time I make this, I'm going to use two bottles of ketchup.  One for the chicken and the other to rub all over your body.

I tried it. 15 min with quick release. The chicken came out juicy and done but the "sauce" was super watery and didn't lend much flavor to the chicken. Very boring and not what I expected. Trying it again tonight with no cola. Kind of defeats the purpose of using this recipe but as it was I would never make that again.

"The Good thing about this, is it's not like the old pots I used to have to use. The old pressures cookers that were very dangerous, could explode and it cooked so much better."

So did she mean that the old pressure cookers cooked so much better? If so, that's a nice slam on the Pressure Pro. (lol).

She DOES give the recipe here.

Either a whole chicken, or a half pound to a pound of the chicken.

Half a ltr. of Cola ( More if cooking whole chicken/hen.)

    1/4 cup of olive oil.

    Season to taste.

One bottle of ketchup, covering chicken.

    Timing for 10-15 minutes.

    Serve with rice, etc.
