Come along as I test a new recipe in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. GORDO TACO 1/4 C each: Instant rice, …
I love when you do these! I would reduce the amount of salt, add chicken and tomato bouillon, dried onion flakes or green onions for freshness. Love the idea of adding avocado! Another option for sustaining fullness try using the Mission Carb balance tortillas. I just started using the Habanero Tajin , yum. Also Spice Hunter makes a couple of salt free Mexican seasoning blends that play nicely together.
Thanks for sharing.
LMNT Mango Chilie salt might go well in that taco rather than straight up salt, and it would help ya hydrate
Have you ever put all the ingredients into a ziplock and added hot water? Just trying to avoid doing dishes haha
Thanks for another great recipe! Hoping you can help… I am living in Jordan right now and a lot of the stuff isn’t available of course… Where in the States is a good place to look for freeze dried black beans? Or is it something you can only do at home? I have a friend coming over from the states in a couple months so it would be great to have a name of a store that I could pass on to them. Thanks 🙏
I bought a $12 toaster for my camp stove. It’s about the size of 2 pieces of bread. Prevents burning, makes a million dollar piece of toast.
Pack along some fresh cilantro and a jalapeño to chop up and add to this recipe. Fresh ingredients always take these meals to the next level.
I’d also scramble the egg powder on the side and add that as desired, just to have some more texture and consistency in the dish.
Looks fantastic! Will definitely try this one. Made trail tacos yesterday hiking 4 miles. Always good! I use Taco Time single salsa packets.
The only thing that I would add is a coozey made of reflectit just to keep it warmer
Another great one! It looks delicious. Nice vista, too. 😁
Your pb&j grits has become my breakfast staple. The jiffy needs salt tho to cut through the sweetness.
