I use small 2 gallon stock buckets to water my small animals. During the winter I can give them a fresh bucket of water 2x per day and leave the other bucket indoors to thaw enough to dump out. We have frost-free hydrants so they work well for this.

How nice to have you back in front of the camera again and of course the fact that you´re feeling better, Carolyn! You´re like a sun ray on a cloudy day! You take care of yourself now and know that it´s always a pleasure for me and the others to "visit" your homestead! You´re so right of the importance to take care of yourself when being a person with big responsibility. With a family and homestead there is no question about the responsibility to take care of the children and animals at first. This requires a lot of energy and it´s important that you have enought of that for thoose tasks. There is a lot one can do; making "easy" food and reduce cleaning time, it´s no need to have the whole house shining every day and as you say, take a paus when needed. You can do a lot in little time if your body and brain is in shape! It´s a little like what the stewardess says when you flying somewhere; you have to put the oxygenmask on yourself first so you are able to help your children with theirs.

If you're taking a prenatal vitamin and it is making your nausea worse, take the vitamin right before you go to sleep at night. By morning it will be digested and you will have slept through that nausea.

We had someone in our back yard years ago in the middle of the night hubby just happened to hear him and went to the window with the shot gun and pumped it. He laughed when he heard the guy hit the fence, he was running so fast.

Glad to see your up and about Carolyn. Congratulations on you’re pregnancy. My question is what do you mean about the chicken time being different?I’ve done the beef stew and want to make chicken stew this Saturday and can it. I usually only put carrots and potatoes and the beef and the broth and thicken it when I’m ready to serve.

Welcome back so glad you are feeling better. My doctor once told me severe morning sickness means a strong baby!! Maybe he was just trying to make me feel better 🤣 but at that point I would take any encouragement.

Wow! I am so impressed with the gun story. Good on you for protecting yourself and family! I am in Canada and we are not allowed to have them here. Wish we could though.
Glad that you are feeling better. Congratulations on the wonderful news.

I LOVE the story about Carolyn pulling a gun on Josh! Ha! YES!! Mama has babies to protect. On another note, I'm not sure why it's taboo to ask people their ages, but I would love to know how old you both are if you don't mind sharing. My husband and have twelve children and I have also suffered with severe morning sickness. I had HG with my first, and all-day sickness with all of them except number 12. It's such a hard stage of pregnancy…but so worth the wonderful reward at the end. I'm so very happy for you all! Blessings!
