How did you know what time to thaw the chicken at? Is it just trial and error over the years, a mother's instinct, or is there a manual that suggests cooking times? I have never heard of chicken pillows or rolls before, but the ingredients used to make them seem like the end product would taste lip smacking good. Could you have used canned biscuits instead of crescent rolls or is there some significance to using crescent rolls. I was first introduced to fried okra at my grandparents home in Mississippi and instantly fell in love. I haven't ever tried them any other way because I've heard they can be slimy when boiled. Even though I loved my grandparents dearly, I wish I had appreciated the time I spent with them even more now.
